Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson hinted Wednesday that former Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush might be considering an endorsement.
"I can't say that we haven't had conversations," Johnson said in a Wednesday afternoon conversation on CNN from Cleveland. "But no push on the conversations."
Johnson said he has also had conversations with 2012 GOP nominee Mitt Romney.
When asked who initiated the conversations, Johnson replied, "Not me." When asked if the former Florida governor has called him, Johnson added quickly, "I don't want to — I want to protect the innocent.

Indeed. Perhaps Gary could get Romney’s endorsement too, then Gary would be the Bush/Romney guy rahter than a putative Libertarian.

i'm sure you do. However i have not made any decision as of yet. i haven't voted for a major party candidate for President since 1984.
In evaluating Trump, i have completely ignored what he says in public, and have resorted to reading his position statements on various issues.
i find little there that Libertarians would disagree with in terms of economics...in foreign policy there are differences.
We'll see.

Johnson isn’t even a good libertarian. He believes Christians should be forced to bake cakes for homo weddings, etc. So much for the libertarian pledge not to use force against people. He’s also pro-abort. It would not surprise me to see any of the Bush family endorsing Johnson. My personal conspiracy theory is that the Bushes are really Democrat moles sent to destroy the Republican Party from within.

Gary, having Jeb! endorsing you is not going to change much.
It may make people presume that you’re a ‘low energy’ candidate. The Bush Family is not as well regarded by conservatives as they were just a year or two ago. The masks of decency have fallen off, this includes the elder GHWB too.
They strike many as being stuck in the past and more interested in retaining their power of influence. That too has dissipated over the last year or two.
Jeb Bush needs to stop sucking his thumb. The Bush family should just go and lobby for the Saudi govt!

You beat me to the punch. Without Jeb's endorsement, Johnson could count on getting about 1% of the vote in the general election. Now he won't even get a tenth of that (Libertarians don't like Jeb either).
