If Cruz wants to have a future in the Republican party, he needs to absolutely endorse Trump in his speech.

Anything less than a sincere, definitive endorsement of Trump will taint Cruz.

I voted for Cruz in the primary and Trump has my full support. The convention is only making that sentiment stronger. I do not see how anyone cannot call what we have witnessed so far as conservative.

You will find no bigger Cruz supporter than Yours Truly.

But I switched to the Trump Train months ago. The day he hit 1237, was the day I switched. At that point, it became a binary choice, between Trump and Hillary.

He is already tainted by his comments about the
Chicago protests.

.... for Cruz to finally endorse Donald Trump....

Agree. I don’t just want Mr. Trump to win, I want a good old fashion landslide. Mr. Trump needs the conservative grass roots solidly behind him.

I agree. His endorsement needs to be early in the speech and given with enthusiasm for the voters’ choice. It’s time to end the “divided party” meme and pull those scared conservative-leaning Johnson supporters into the Trump camp.

Cruz has one last chance to redeem himself.
He can be a valuable ally in the Senate.
He can never be President.
Cubanadians are not eligible.

I kinduv hope he doesn’t endorse so I can continue my dislike and distrust of him unabated. That’s after giving him hard cash as he continued to deceive me into believing he was someone he isn’t.

Now, I remember the stupidity of Green Eggs and Ham read from the Senate floor. Now, I remember how selfish he was when crashing a Sarah Palin scheduled event onstage and how she looked just a little creeped out.

Now, I remember how I hate to hear his weird voice. Not certain I’ll watch and listen tonight; probably not.

“Trump’s remarks were egregious, Cruz’s supporters say, and hard to get over.”

Let’s all give the gutter rat Jeff Roe a complete pass on his statements and actions...he called Trump mentally ill and took a shot at his wife before Trump ever said a word.

Cruz wants Hillary to win so he can run against her in 2020.

He knows if Trump wins the RNC and most financial supporters will back an incumbent president for a second term.

I heard Cruz is going to tear into Hillary tonight really good, or really bad, but it is going to be devastating. Can’t wait. Go Cruz! Kill the bitch.

Agreed. As a Cruz supporter, I think Cruz needs to back Trump unequivocally.

I turned on Levin for a few minutes yesterday. He was covering the GOP convention and very unhappy. Sounded as if he were passing razor blades every time he commented.
Stated this before, but my thinking is: We have no idea what Trump would do if he wins, he could swing hard left on us.. or not. But we know DAMN WELL what Reptillary will do if she wins...

If Cruz is a good politician, he’ll give the endorsement speech of his life. It would be all good. He’d win respect from Trump supporters, help unify the Party, and show himself to be above petty jabs of a political campaign. In a word, he’d be setup to run for President again in 8 years, if he chose to. After all, he’s not that old.

Conversely, if he gets all petty and vindictive, he’s going to microwave his own goose. What would that serve? He would come across as a sore loser and he’d aid the Hillary camp by fomenting dissent in his party. That uuuge chunk of Trump voter would never vote for him in the future.

Which Cruz will show up? The “too cute by half” Cruz, the attack dog Cruz, or the Douche Bag Cruz?

A great Cruz speech would be an incredibly well-written anti-GOPe, anti-RINO, pro-Trump and pro-America rallying cry for unity. He’s pretty much done politically but he could go out with style.
