I do not think the military in toto is leftist. I think there are leftist elements now present (including in military leadership and elsewhere) that were unthinkable when you and when I served.
That is where a coup would come from if it were ever to happen.

The Military Times reported yesterday that active duty military support Trump 2-1 over Clinton, and I would bet you that the ratio is even higher among folks whose MOS is in the combat arms.
I agree that a coup is not unthinkable, but our president is not going to be the target of one.

A president shall be elected not more than twice... to paraphrase the constitution. Seems to me that if there is a reason for anyone to rise up, it would be under Bill Clinton’s unconstitutional third term.

I think you are behind the curve on that one. There has been a purge going on for nearly 8 years. I doubt the "conservative" percentage of the armed forces is anywhere near what it has been traditionally.

In fact, I was more of the opinion that a military coup would be mandated if Hillary wins. There would be no alternative as the country will no longer be recognizable after the crazy bitch begins implementing her agenda.
