I think this was all a parlay for the nukes at Incirlik. Think about it...the fake coup sets up the opposition to fall and enables Erdogan to trade nukes to ISIS for fuel.

“If we had an actual commander-in-chief, that base would have power.

How?”

Could always move the base, pull out several hundred million dollars in revenue for the local economy and at the same time moving to remove Turkey from NATO. I am sure there are other things out there a CIC with a set of cajones can do.

PING!!

....this coup is Obama’s plot with Erdogan, to get american nukes handed off to his Islamist buddies...

Suspiciously like a nuclear “fast and furious” play

Move it where? Turkey has allowed a U.S. presence at Incirlik since the 1950's Right now it supports the U.S. strikes against ISIS. You don't just pick up and move something like that even if there was an alternative available, no matter who the commander-in-chief is.

As for having Turkey expelled from NATO, most NATO countries are wondering if the U.S. is going to stay in much less worry about expelling a member.

The US Military is using $50 per gallon Bio-Diesel to fuel those generators?

While it wouldn't surprise me, most military generators are multi-fuel designs. They're probably burning JP-8.

How? Because this sort of situation would have been foreseen and planned for long ago.

So Obama should have foreseen a coup by the Turkish military and should have taken steps? Then shouldn't all of Obama's predecessors have done the same?

I agree. My understanding is that we are in control of some tactical nukes being stored by NATO at the base. They should be moved out ASAP. If Erdogan continues building his Islamic caliphate Turkey’s membership in NATO may come to an end. We definitely don’t want Turkey getting their hands on those nukes.

IMO the power is being kept off at the base to pressure OFail into giving up Guelen.

LOL.....your name is like my old Q clearance/CNWDI clearance (sin-widdy).

Anyways they'll need LOTS of air cover for surreptitious exfiltration.....either 1-2 B61s per aircraft (that would be a major sortie) or just land a couple of B1/B2/B52 to take them all out.

It's not just the logistics of getting them out of country, its the air cover, protection, and the back up plans for recovering a nuke in, what I consider, indian country full of mujs.

Anyways, I think the B2 can carry a dozen or so, the B1 double that. I would bet a single B52 could carry the entire Incirlik B61 bombs in the WSAs out of the AO. I'll let the zoomies figgur that one out for me with their OSINT I dont' watch.

Turkey is a moslem country. We should just nuke it and be done with it.

We’ll have to nuke the moslems eventually anyway, may as well get it started.

Problem is the instant the doors to the bunkers open and the nukes roll out, Erdogan’s cell phone rings. And unlike Hillary, he will answer the phone.
