They are allowing flights out, but the power is still cut off and is being provided by local generators.

If we had an actual commander-in-chief, that base would have power.

Rumor has it, about fifty arrows are stored at Incirlik. They need to be moved. Yesterday.

Amazing that Edrogan claims the U.S was behind it. You would think that the U.S would be the last to want to provoke a coup in Turkey. What would be the objective? At best all I can think is a very sympathetic Turkey that would loosen up the private rules of engagements they impose on the U.S ... but that’s not likely for many reasons, Obama being one.

Then on the other hand, Edrogan simply engineered a failed coup or more likely co-opted a very weak coup, then gains street credibility with the Muslim extremists by railing against the U.S.

There’s going to be big Muslim war coming with interesting factions.

Geez! Suppose someone accidentally, on-purpose lobbed one at Assad?

Geez! Suppose someone accidentally, on-purpose lobbed one at Assad?

That's tough to forecast.

ISIS would rejoice, even if they sustained losses in the attack (Assad's loss is ISIS's gain).

Vlad would condemn the stupidity of the move, and he would be right.

In any case, these gadgets are not simply launched. They have to be attached to F-16s (stored alongside), and the F-16 pilots then carry out the mission, ill-advised or not.

Erdogan needs to cease to exist.

Our TLAs need to make it happen to earn their keep.

Erdogan is a crony crapitalist, under color of Islam, who benefits from ISIS's oil exports.

Why do you think Zero refrained from interdicting ISIS's oil exporting convoys?

Hint: it did not have to do with global warming resulting from the lovely conflagrations that would have resulted.

Rather, it was to protect his buddy Erdogan's income stream!

“Geez! Suppose someone accidentally, on-purpose lobbed one at Assad?”

The reason we, meaning Obama and Valery Jarrett, are against Assad is that he is a secular leader. Anything that replaces him will be a version of the Ayatollah in Iran. (The Iranians are backing Assad because he allows their version of Shea Islam to expand while halting any Alawite (Assad’s religion) from expanding. Assad has made a deal with the devil...more than one devil.)

The absolute worst thing that can happen to Syria is that Assad falls. The Christians and the Alawites will be slaughtered. Only Sunni extremists will remain. Literally. Everybody who is the wrong flavor, and probably quite a few Sunni’s will be massacred.

Under Erdogan's growing Islamic militancy Turkey has become even more of a rogue state.

It is going to be a huge problem in the near future.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan; President of Turkey:

Erdogan is a paranoid narcissist. He will make all kinds of wild claims, literally anything that comes into his head without regard to facts or reality. Does this behavior sound familiar?

Do not fall into the normalcy bias trap. Many (most?) world leaders are not normal people. Their paranoia served them well when they were clawing their way to the top. When they look to it to maintain power, people die.

Stay safe.
