I’m pretty sure that as of yesterday morning, Cruz intended not to endorse Trump. I’m also pretty sure that if he changed his mind, he hasn’t told that many people and probably hasn’t phoned up CNN and told them.

So the question is: has he changes his mind?

Well, what would make him change his mind in the space of one day?

I have an answer for that: Christie.

How could anyone with an ounce of conservative spirit in their body watch Christie last night and consider doing anything to help hillary?

We shall see what we shall see, but if Cruz endorses Trump, I bet Christie had something to do with it.

Christie deserves a seat on the Supreme Court.

Cruz should not be allowed to speak if he will not endorse the nominee.

“I won’t wast my time listening to Cruz. He has nothing to say that I want to hear.”

Well, I’m a Texian. And, I voted for Cruz for senator and for Prez in the primaries. But, he lost and now I’m supporting Trump. I think Cruz has fallen into Bill Kristols and Mike Lee’s trap. And, is allowing himself to be used in a failed and flawed attempted palace coup. Cruz needs to wake up or he will be out of his senate job if he’s not careful....

If Cruz comes out tomorrow night and commits political suicide on national T.V., it hurts no one but Cruz.

Cruz base of support was small and is even smaller now. He lost every group he was supposed to lead. He's made a complete political and personal fool of himself. Who wants or respects a person that keeps insisting on relevance long after they have been defeated, rejected, and shown to be an outright liar. Lyn' Ted has no present and no future.

As I have noted elsewhere on FR, I'll donate to his Democratic opponent if that is what it takes to see him kicked out of the Senate. He, especially, and Cantor and McConnell need to be dumped, dumped hard. Trump is the instrument of that party purge--either support him or be tossed.

You misspelled "Ryan"...

Yep, thanks! Still looking for my caffeine this morning. Cruz, RYAN, and McConnell.

If Ted Cruz runs for president in 2020, I will vote against him.

I hope you mean in the primaries.

Christie’s speech last night was why I preferred him over Pence. I had visions of the VP debate that won’t be. The cherry on the cake would have been Christie vs. Warren. Chris Christie has to be given AG in my opinion.

The one reporter said that Ted Cruz anticipates running for President in 2020 if Trump loses and wants to show his sympathies with the Never Trump movement who has supported him.
I'd wager Lyin' Ted would run in 2020 even if Trump wins. Some may remember Ted Kennedy running against Jimmy Carter in his 1980 re-election bid. Granted, the dynamics wouldn't be the same, but Ted the snake certainly would be insanely ambitious enough to try to unseat a sitting Republican President.

How many are there, though?

I don’t think they amount to much.

I also think they’re not enough of them, certainly, in battleground states where their vote will matter.

In any case, stop courting them. They’ve made their choice. There’s not enough bending over backwards Trump can do to win them, so ignore them.

Teddy is a malignant narcissist much like the current occupant of the white house.

Teddy is all about Teddy. I doubt that he has the ability to suck it up. He believes his own lies. His widdle ego got hurt when it turned out that he wasn’t going to be The One.

This is a person who appears to be unable to see the folly of his own ways and as such, is not someone who should be in public office.

I hope he makes his speech all about him. The more of a twit he is now, the easier he’ll be to defeat in 2018.

I thought they should have ensured that as well. I truly believe Trump was trying to mend fences, but Ted might kick him in the back like he did after Chicago when he blamed Trump for inciting the violence.

Maybe Ted will surprise us and prove everyone wrong. It’s tough to imagine a speech (don’t know how long it will be maybe 10 min. or so) where he manages to dance around the party’s nominee. We can hope he surprises us. Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan were able to give endorsements. They weren’t thrilled, but they did it. Cruz needs to do the same.

I think Pence is the right choice for many reasons, one of which is Christie is more valuable as AG, or SCOTUS.

He might if Trump is unpopular. If Trump is a good President, it would be pointless.

Curious how we trust the MSM when they tell us lies we want to hear. But we don’t trust them when they tell us truths we don’t want to hear.

Response to post #45.

Those are the people who love their pride and their false idol more than America and they are IMO worse than Democrats. Democrats are often the non thinking who vote as their parents and grandparents did. These anti Trump are people who once could see that our nation does not benefit by Democrat lies and leadership but still voluntarily choose or enable those who would lead us to socialism. They are the lowest form of life!

If he does not endorse Donald Trump in his speech tonight, it is the end of Cruz’s political career.

The people of TX are not stupid.

they know what is at stake in this election.

They will vote for Trump.

If Cruz is this self-centered and obtuse, he belongs nowhere near the halls of power.

Maybe their sources will be wrong or maybe Ted will change his mind. If Ted does endorse Trump, I think opinions on him would improve

I would be thrilled if Ted came out and whole-heartedly endorsed Donald Trump in his speech.
But Glen Beck would suffer and never trust anyone from DC again...
