Tough to say how this will shake out. Erdogan has pretty much destroyed the military, so less support for ISIS, but more of a chance for him to set up his own Revolutionary Guard. Getting rid of the judiciary might seem to make it easier to institute sharia, but it might make the average Turk nervous. The same goes for the civil servants.

0dunga has LOTS more undermining of our allies and semi-allies to do BEFORE HE LEAVES OFFICE IN SIX MONTHS, and Turkey was ONE of them. It's no mistake that he endorsed Morsi in Egypt while asking Mubarak (ally to both U.S. AND Israel) TO STEP DOWN. Fortunately a military coup in Egypt resulting in a great man taking leadership (Al-Sisi) was a shock to 0dunga and not what he wanted. But what is happening in Turkey going FULL-ISLAMIST is just one more item 0dunga can cross off his 'things to make happen before I leave office' list.

The coup was fake. History will prove that it was fake. It was only staged so thousands of people who MIGHT be a threat to his rule could be neutralized. That’s all it was.
The cherry on top will be if Kerry does send Fethullah Gulen to Turkey. It wouldn't be beyond that traitor.
