In a brief period of excitement (especially for completely unbiased John Harwood), Republican factions trying to stop Donald Trump's nomination noisily disrupted a vote on party convention rules. But, as The Hill reports, the Republican National Committee ignored the outcry from the angry delegates and adopted the convention's rules by a voice vote, rebuffing shouts by those looking to mount a last-ditch effort to sink Donald Trump.
As Bloomberg reports,
Delegates from Colorado were seen walking out of the convention hall, and former Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli was spotted angrily throwing his convention credentials to the floor.
The disruption Monday on the first day of the convention was the first sign of fracturing within the party ahead of the presumptive Republican nominee's appearance in the hall Monday night to introduce his wife, Melania.
Former Senator Gordon Humphrey says he filed requisite signatures from nine delegations to force roll-call vote on Rules. Humphrey, a New Hampshire delegate, said he's not confident RNC staff has "courage" or "independence" to "stand up" to pressure from Trump organization to disallow or ignore petitions.
Humphrey, who opposes Trump's nomination, called the presumptive nominee's supporters "brown shirts" during an interview with MSNBC.
"They act like fascists," Humphrey, who represented New Hampshire for two terms in the U.S. Senate, said.
Senator Mike Lee, a Utah Republican, said he could not fathom the decision by the convention organizers in an interview with CNN.
“If what they want is unity, treat us respectfully as delegates," Lee said. He called the incident "surreal."

In the end, the rules were adopted by voice vote shortly after 4 p.m., then after frantic protests, a second voice vote was taken as Trump opponents shouted repeatedly for a roll call vote.

This Book is part of the “Pearl of Great Price” which, along with the “Book of Mormon” and the “Doctrine and Covenants,” make up the LDS church’s “triple combination” in one volume.
The porn is found in Fig. 7 of Facsimile 2 in the “Book of Abraham” which shows two beings facing each other, which were described by Joseph Smith as representing the “Holy Ghost” and “God sitting upon his throne,” the latter clearly showing an aroused male sex organ.
After Smith published this sketch in his newspaper in 1842, which offended Mormon sensibilities, the phallic portion was whited out for more than a century until the “restored” LDS church decided in 1981 to restore what had long been censored!
Equally shocking was the discovery that the “Book of Abraham” had nothing to do with Abraham or his God but was actually based on ancient Egyptian funeral documents depicting occultic obscene practices - and the original sketches showed an erect phallus on both beings including the one Smith blasphemously claimed was the Holy Ghost!

We must be careful before we accept anything from the MSM.
As a delegate to the Republican National Convention from Virginia, Cuccinelli was trying to stop a new rules package that would further empower the GOPe over the grassroots.
Unfortunately, the media reported it as an anti-Trump effort. It was not.
