Because the Bush power base is being eroded from the Republican party. They can live out their lives in relative plenty, but probably won’t have much say in politics anymore.
The Bushes are one-worlder globalists who support the NWO. Both the Convention and the GOP are better off without them. They belong in Saudi Arabia or in the Democrat Party.

Bushes are like Clintons - they both believe they’re owed it, it’s their turn.
Gingrich will play an integral role in Trump’s administration, and will be even more powerful than he ever could have been as Vice President.
Governor Huckabee was even more direct yesterday on Fox News.....he called any of his fellow candidates who do not honor the pledge “dis-honorable and liars”.....
