Sky is reporting that the coup is over
Per Skynews authorities say Ataturk airport will resume flights in 20 minutes.
Perhaps Erdogan staged a face coup. That would flush out the military (and others) who did not support him. Just in time for the August changes.
Certainly a possibility.
Its going to be over when a general and Erdogan hold a presser . where was the military brass when Erdogan went on TV awhile ago? Strange.
Erdogan just ordered his air force loyal to him to shoot down coup controlled planes. So he is back but not fully in control. Just a counter coup move. In this situation he really does not know who he controls.
Sucks to be him at the moment. Whatever he does next is significant. If he flies out to a safe place then it might be taken as a sign that Istanbul might be lost to him. If he stays, it will look like he is pinned down far from the capital. No good moves.
For the military, I am hoping to see an announcement from the capital demanding that Erdogan surrender himself to military authorities.
This does not look like it is over yet, despite the wishful thinking from CNN propagandists.

I’ve heard that freak on CNN Fareed Blahblahblah say how stunningly popular Erdogen is at least 500 times tonight.

So far they have only captured 130 of the coup plotters. Heck there was at least 50-60 on that bridge alone. Blaming the coup on Washington and the PA cleric is not going to win him any moderate supporters. The rebels now know that he has lost support of some of the military, so it will be an interesting few days.
Not to be redundant but I would think the military brass would be on TV saying its over etc. If in fact Erdogan had prevailed.

It could be a false flag. The bomb at the parliament doesn’t seem to have caused much damage, there were a couple low passes from fighter jets, blockaded bridges, and a few tanks. Enough to cast the image of a coup, but not much more. Perhaps the rebels were/are earnest, but patsies.
But in truth he spends all his days abroad trying to acquire and assemble the Rambaldi device.

It would be very hard to believe that these Military Coup leaders were so incompetent not to know the “readiness” of their own forces.
Their readiness to shoot and kill the opposition.
