Do a Google image search for British Police with guns, and you’ll find hundreds of photos of British police with guns.
They put a cop in an intersection, directing traffic with a whistle, and claim ‘our police don’t need guns’...but they’ve got an army of armed police waiting in the wings, if the whistle and baton don’t work.

Those cops were brave as hell. Bet they were expecting that to be an immense vehicle borne IED at any instant.

Dying isn’t a deterrent when martyrdom is what they seek. The cost factor to them needs to upped by orders of magnitude. Their families and friends and much much more needs to part of the cost. Right now the score is 80 and climbing to 1 in favor of the terrorist.

You are right, but at the same time the problem is that the “other terrorists” DON’T CARE if they are killed. Their whacked-out religion has short circuited their instinct for self preservation. They welcome death. The only way to deal with this kind of insanity is to wipe out the entire sect, all genders and ages. In India they had to deal harshly with the cult of Kali in the nineteenth century, but in this day and age it won’t happen.
I think dying is a deterrent. A lot of suicide bombers have a secondary switch detonated by someone else in case they chicken out.
Some terrorists do care if they die. One of the killers of the Paris attack ran away and did not blow himself up because he chickened out.

They do.... kinda. Remember the guys who beheaded that British soldier wandered the street, debating with people, and explaining why they did it. They wandered around much longer than would happen say....in Albuquerque.
Time to go after the families of terrorists. Terrorist don’t care about their own lives...but they might about their family members. Also, family members, knowing their own lives are at stake, might turn in their terrorist kin to save the family. I know it sounds horrible...but WE ARE AT WAR. How many extinct terrorist families would it take, before terrorists think twice? Face it...it’s them or us. Fight fire with fire.
Actually I keep hearing that about all terror coming from Iran, and that is what the Saudi controlled uniparty wants you to think.
But Iran is Shia. The terror attacks of Beslan, 7/7, Madrid, Charlie Hebdo, the Paris nightclub, 9/11, the shoe bomber, Boko Haram, the underwear bomber, Fort Hood, Barstow, Orlando, and ISIS are all Sunni and the money begins in the gulf states and Saudi Arabia. Almost every single beheading has been Sunni.

You are right though. Saudi Arabia funds a lot it. And they all back it. But remember the 9/11 attackers came to us through Saudi Arabia urged on by Iran.

They should have used pepper spray or jumped in the truck and handcuffed him. How do we know they got the right guy? The real killers might have gotten away while the corrupt french police murdered an innocent truck driver.

The truck was stopped and he was not a danger to anyone. The police should have waited until he fell asleep and arrested him. He was murdered without due process. Any corrupt pig that fired at the truck should be doing life in prison for that assassination.

Wouldn’t armed bystanders have had a chance? As it was, the driver was not slowed at all.
He may not have been slowed, but he was definitely killed.

One report had the man/men sitting there for 9 hours beforehand. When questioned, he said he was delivering ice cream-even though this was not a refrigerated truck.
