Starbucks baristas have found themselves at the center of another race debate.

One year after Starbucks' failed "race together" campaign that encouraged baristas to discuss racial tension with customers, employees are now being encouraged to shout "black lives matter" in stores.

“After hearing that I’d yell “all lives matter”, pour my beverage on the floor and depart...”

If I ever went to a Starbucks, I’d try shouting “Allahu Akbar!!” and watch all the non-judgmental customers and employees dropping to the ground and hiding!

That, or shout back, “MY Life Matters - bitchista!”

Hard to believe any FReepers visit Starbucks.

If you do and hear their new shout out, reply with “GUN FREE ZONE!” and get out fast.

WHAT is considered TOO MUCH?

Nothing, so long as we're tolerating it. And once we've tolerated any of it, we'll be demonized for reaching a limit and complaining. They're turds and with turds, everything they touch becomes crappy. Only zero tolerance works with them.

This time, however, it’s customers — not the company — that are encouraging baristas to get involved.

THAT’S WHAT THE ARTICLE SAID, OK?

I wonder if your $5.00 coffee taste better than my penny stuff.

Your comment is wide of the mark with me. I don’t like Starbucks because it IS WEAK! Here in CA we like Peet’s, besides the fact that Starbucks.is crap, I don’t like their politics!

I’m sure I’d be very happy drinking Peet’s, if we had one. Glad you like strong coffee.

You do realize that I was agreeing with you.

The headline is misleading. It’s not Starbucks that is telling their employees to shout out “Black Lives Matter”.

Starbucks customers across the US have been telling baristas that their names are "black lives matter," so the baristas shout "black lives matter" when their drinks are ready,

But that didn't go as planned for customer Genevieve Uzamere at a Starbucks in New York City, Mic reports. Uzamere was reportedly told that she couldn't be served under the name "black lives matter" because the employee serving her wasn't comfortable with it.
