Starbucks baristas have found themselves at the center of another race debate.

One year after Starbucks' failed "race together" campaign that encouraged baristas to discuss racial tension with customers, employees are now being encouraged to shout "black lives matter" in stores.

Well put. It’s bitter and over-roasted.

I drink about 1 coffee outside my house a year and it too is black.
It’s no wonder why most people are broke.
I started coffee in the military and it was black and it’s still black.
I retired at 45. Sure I do my own AC here in Texas on a part time basis at my choosing, but to pay all that money for something that isn’t even coffee is a joke.
and the money that I see people waste on things is completely mind blowing.

I’d like to know what Starbucks does to get such agreeable, sincerely friendly employees. In New York, this is so refreshing. They either interview well or they educate them well. The very, very few who get by the process with a little bit of a chip on their shoulder are soon fired. It’s a pleasure, Starbucks.

I installed the "MyFitnessPal" on my Android cellphone. Added the annual "Premium" option. Set up custom calorie distribution per the "Zone" diet with calories: 30% protein, 30% fat, 40% carbs. Set up daily targets: M/Th 600 calories. Fr, Sat, Sun, Tu, Wed 1250 calories. Installed Garmin Connect and connected a "vivofit 2" to track sleep/exercise. The app has a bar code scanner to record breakfast/lunch/dinner/snack entries. You can adjust a serving size e.g. a 190 calorie protein bar cut in half is 95 calories and entered as 1/2 a serving.

Typical dinner fare: Applebee's Cedar Grilled Lemon Chicken @ 570 calories plus pomegranate ice tea at 35 calories. Breakfast is often a 160 calorie Premier Protein chocolate shake from Costco. 30 gr of protein. Lunch is often a Plenti Greek yogurt with black cherry at 140 calories. Dinner on Mon/Thu is Lean Cuisine Herb Roasted Chicken at 170 calories.

Honest entry of consumption into the app helps. Restaurant's often having a searchable menu option inside the MyFitnessPal app to help tailor options.

My wife has dropped from 182 to 140 over the same time frame. She is targeting around 130 for a finish.

I'm afraid I'd be so upset if this happened, I'd order several coffees and walk out as they brought them to the counter. I'd probably enlist a few friends to join me in the protest.

Maybe we'd wear blackface, tear up the place like negros do and then scatter.

Better yet, I won't buy any more of their highly overrated coffee.

what a bunch of leftist shite. If I was at a Starbuck’s and the server shouted any political statement, I would leave. Let alone *this* particular statement. Pour my coffee and shuddup, moron.

All these Starbucks "controversies". I go to Starbucks pretty much every day and it's always a hum-drum experience. I tolerate the women in line in front of me as they compete with each other to see who can order their coffee drink with the most syllables. Then I say "medium Pike" and pay with my iPhone. I'm out of there in 10 seconds as I don't bother with milk and sugar either. I just drink it black. And black, it's pretty damn good coffee. I don't care what the others here say.

Black coffee matters! That's what I say.

But I've never experienced any kind of political correctness with the Starbucks staff. They just pour my coffee and send me on my way. And that's the way I like it.

So, what I just heard was that you like your coffee the way you like your women.

Hot, Black and fast with no conversation.
