DALLAS -- Almost a week after the Dallas sniper attacks, it's still unclear how the gunman obtained an honorable discharge from the military even though Army officials sent him home from Afghanistan with a recommendation that he be thrown out of the armed forces.

I’m sure it was felt that anything but an honorable discharge would hinder him in the future, so it had to be an honorable discharge. Just an extension of the policies that give illiterate blacks high school diplomas.

It rears it head much sooner, as duped employers have them create havoc with competent co-workers with real skills. Under threat of lawsuit they are hired by firms where they are often counterproductive; in the real world the scales fall from their eyes and they realize they’ve been had.
I’ve seen black co-workers gripe about promotions for which they’ve been passed over when they’ve often demonstrated incompetence in a much lower position; there seems to be a union-type mindset where seniority alone makes them eligible (and merit means nothing).

Face it folks. We (as in the human race) could not’ve won on this one. Even if he’d been given a dishonorable discharge, his actions in Dallas would’ve led the other side to claim his actions were the result of the evil, unfair, racist white man’s giving him...a dishonorable discharge.

Economics? They could have rendered him harmless with less but who knows exactly how much that would have required? It’s not worth the chance.
How much is a pound of C4 compared to the hospital bill if they didn’t make sure it would kill?
