Trump's VP search enters frenzied phase
CNN ^ | July 13, 2016 | Dana Bash, Sara Murray and Stephen Collinson

Donald Trump's vice presidential search turned into a head-spinning melodrama Wednesday as candidates vying for the spot hopped on planes and phones to perform frenzied, last-minute try-outs...

The meetings held in Indiana were done so to allow Trump more time with Pence, a Trump spokesperson said. But the plan to fly GIngrich and Sessions to Indiana appeared to be more of a last-minute scramble, since sources told CNN Tuesday night that he was spending the night because Trump's plan had mechanical issues...

One of the biggest questions is whether he will opt for someone with a reputation as a partisan scrapper who could defend him in the media and lambast Democrat Hillary Clinton, or if he will choose someone viewed as a safer political partner who could bring more sobriety to his volatile campaign...

Trump's VP search enters frenzied phase

Yeah, "Frenzied" for all the liberal talking heads that can't stand not having a target to shoot at yet.

Trump doesn't drink, cankles is a lush.

Dana Bash, Sara Murray and Stephen Collinson are dickweeds.

Hillary's short list seems to be mainly Hispanic or Native American (Fauxcahontas) with one Greek-American retired admiral supposedly being considered (he could be labeled "Asian-American" since his grandfather was from Asia Minor). The media will celebrate the diversity.

Meanwhile, where is the diversity on Trump's short list? All accomplished politicians, but all native-born American citizens of European ancestry.

No Canadians on the list!

Christie is a good fit for AG. Pence is OK with me. He does no harm and he won’t be competing with Trump for the limelight. I want Newt but he may wield more responsibility in a cabinet position. For all we know it will be someone out of left field.

My bet is someone out of left field . If Newt has agreed to be his Chief Of Staff , he really doesn’t need a “ legislator “ for a VP . He may go with someone like Allen West whom he and Newt would groom for 2024 .

If he picks the man he needs to govern, he’ll pick Newt.
If he picks the man he needs to win the election he will not pick Newt.

Let me put that another way. Newt won’t gain many votes for Trump. He won’t maximize the Trump votes. Though they’d still win. And the Obama administration will still count the votes.

Contrast this with hitlery’s search. Not as frenzied, but involving a pentagram, dark imprecations, and copulation with a goat.

You’ll know she has picked her VP as it will coincide with a plague of boils and the potomac running red.

It’s not going to be Gingrich , Christie or Pence . Remember I said this .

Well, you are quite often chigaimasu but in this case I agree with you completely. All the others have a fatal flaw.

As far as I know, I’m still on the short list. None of the others wants to preside over the public executions as much as I do.

Ever since CC dropped out and supported Trump, I have said that loyalty would be rewarded with the VP slot. We shall see.
