Wednesday on MSNBC, Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC) said presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trumps claim of being the law and order candidate was a dog whistle to white supremacists.
Clyburn said, Mr. Trump needs to get serious about this issue and stop making light of it. No system is rigged against him because of his skin color. Thats what race is all about. We must be serious about that, have a conversation with each other about that and see what we can do to solve this problem. And not hide behind what may or may not have happened to you as a person because of some ordinances affecting your investments or how much taxes you pay, if at all.
He added, When I heard Mr. Trump several days ago saying that, I am the law and order candidate, that, to me, was more a dog whistle. That, to me, was using the bull horn to send messages out to people. When I see an avowed white supremacist thanking Mr. Trump saying in those things, We get your hints, we understand what youre saying. This says to me that theres a lot going on in this campaign that we had better be conscious about because this country is too great a country for us to allow it to be pulled under with this strong current of what may be racial tensions. So I would say to Mr. Trump, lets have adult discussions about this very serious problem and not make it about any one of ourselves.

Clyburn? The gay pianist? I thought he was dead!
They are starting to loose it.
Its called panic
And anything Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC) says is a “dog whistle” to the willfully ignorant entitlement leeches!!!
By Clyburn’s definition I’m a White Supremacist.
>>claim of being the law and order candidate was a dog whistle to white supremacists.
Because only whites want a lawful and orderly society? Do these idiots even understand the words they use?
Nonsense. The real dog whistle was the kenyan’s “it hurts” comment.
It will be fun come the night of November 8, 2016 when they all begin to have a collective nervous breakdown.
“Clyburn is a racist bomb-thrower looking for attention.
They need to redraw districts in SC and get rid of him.”
Unfortunately, that’s just what happened, but it was all to Clyburn’s benefit that the 6th congressional district, which he owns in perpetuity, was gerrymandered into the state’s largest district and largest majority black district, complete with residents of the same street being in different districts depending which side you live on.
I was in Joe Wilson’s (R) 2nd district until one night they picked up my house & moved it into Clyburn’s.
Luckily Clyburn is an idiot, but he’ll die in office.
Wasn’t Clyburn the congresscritter with the ace staff that got a set aside for some town/school/post office in his district, but the money went to another town of the same name in other state because the specified the wrong zip code?
Hey Clyburn! You can hear the dog whistle? You must be the dog!
Democrats should have ran a rural white governor like Jay Nixon if they wanted to win. But he’s too DLC/DINO for them.
Clyburn, who some say is a noted homosexual pedophile, only panders to black supremacists who want to murder white police officers.

Not familiar with the scenario you laid out.
But it wouldn’t surprise me if you were right.
My condolences!
But I like your FReeper name - Santiago y a ellos!
Clyburn is a real meat head, a doctrinaire BC viper - it’s all about “payback” for all the grievances of the black people over the last three or four hundred years. Truth be told about our Congressional districts: with the state being 28% black, I’ve always assumed the 6th district was drawn to contain (concentrate) the black vote ... which in turn guarantees Clyburn and his black successors a personal fiefdom in perpetuity.
Clyburn’s entire life has been a “dog whistle”.
So Rep.Clyburn, when Hillary rubs your tummy, does your rear leg scratch?
The left LOVES to setup phrases that they have pre-defined to make everyone dance to their definitions. “Dog Whistle” is a term that they have defined as a use that appears to be innocuous but has special meaning to a non-leftist group that they want to be attacked. Like its sister term of micro-aggression, it is 99% subjective and has insufficient factual basis to be attacked on that basis.
Clyburn is South Carolina’s token racist.
Interesting. In searching Clyburn, one of his previous earmarks was for golf programs for kids on military installations.
Just sayin'.
