Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry suggested Monday that the physical wall Donald Trump wants to build along the U.S.-Mexico border is an idea that will never become a reality. "I'm for Donald Trump, and he says we're going to build a wall, the Mexicans are gonna pay for it," Perry, a Trump backer, told Snapchat's Peter Hamby on "Good Luck America."
Hamby responded, "It's not going to happen."
"Well, it's not," Perry replied, suggesting that there might be other ways to keep out immigrants besides an actual wall.

And, though Perry was my governor, the White House is better off for that fact. Perry is a clone of Bush, any one of the three. Perhaps better than any dem...but certainly NOT a Reagan-esque character.

Lots of Texas border towns that depend on Mexicans crossing daily to buy stuff. Over 4 million Border Crossing Cards (BCC) have been issued to Mexicans to enter the US daily. The border states like Texas and AZ see as a wall as discouraging trade hurting them economically.
Perry was Governor of Texas, and knows that the terrain is particularly hard for a continuous wall.
Most of it runs along the Rio Grande River Valley, with all the associated flooding and erosion issues. There are existing treaty restrictions on construction in the valley, and widespread private ownership of borderland in Texas.
These are among the reasons that Texas was basically left till the end of previous wall building efforts - it is the toughest.
There is no doubt that lots of barrier could be still installed to good effect, but it really is unlikely that we could ever get a continuous wall 1,200 miles between Texas and Mexico. The rest can make use of natural barriers, and improved surveillance and patrolling.

Rick is a morn. He presided over giant growth in Texas because there has been an influx of people moving from California to Austin and creating hi-tech jobs. He signed a law allowing Texans to carry a firearm in the car without a CDL. That’s about it.
He’s a ding-dong C- student, ex-democrat that changed party affiliation in the 80s when he saw the writing on the walls. Gov. Abbott is much better. He’s an anti-NWO patriot.
That’s why eminent domain is in the Constitution.

The wall was approved by Congress in 2006. It just wasn’t funded.
Isis and other radical muslim groups have been caught crossing over our open borders into the U.S along with the Mexicans and S Americans.
There are terrorist 'sleeper' cells all across America.
Obama has appointed muslims to key positions in our government
There is a muslim jihadist encampment just miles across the border in Mexico.
These dangerous muslims, have no intention of assimilating or following our laws, but plan to eventually overthrow our government, convert/kill us and bring us under islam rule- (just as the koran commands)
We are all in grave danger because of Obama's immigration policies and his favoritism/protection of muslims.
There is no longer anywhere in America where we are safe.
It's not a matter of 'if' another 9/11 occurs, but when.
The most important issue at stake right now is enforcing our immigration laws, and to keep us safe.
Donald may not be able to build the wall for a lengthy period of time- if ever, try as he might, but he WILL enforce our immigration laws.If he can do this-and he WILL, then he's worth more than all the modern day presidents put together.
He will put enough armed guards on the border to stop the tsunami of illegal criminals across our border. He WILL stop the tsunami of unvetted muslims into our country.
