On Friday night, BET and MTV convened an hour-long, commercial-free townhall on police-involved shootings of African-Americans with only distant mentions of what transpired the night before in Dallas but focused heavily on denigrating law enforcement as hunters and “a gang” meant to terrorize blacks from America’s founding, the need for white people to recognize privilege, and lobby for the defunding of police nationwide.
Aside from a brief discussion with a former New York City detective, the so-called “historic” conversation was anything but in its one-sided, anti-police rhetoric that even went as far as to suggest the media at large weren’t doing their job in giving enough coverage to police shootings.
The beginning saw a relatively straightforward recap of the weeks events as well as attempts on the lives of police in Georgia, Missouri, and Tennessee but then co-host Charlamagne brought on fellow rapper Pusha T. to tout his view that black people will continue to die “until we find someone to actually police the police.”
Of course, Charlamagne jumped into wonder if he meant “Black Panther style basically” to which Pusha T. agreed that it could be “whatever style” because “it's a free for all and obviously they're doing just whatever they like.”
Before the Skype call ended, Charlamagne demanded that the black community must “tear that blue wall of silence down” and Pusha T. argued the “untrustworthy” police should be viewed as “a gang.”

Fine, they want to defund the police sounds good..but defund the ones in black neighborhoods, they hate cops so much, let them take care of THEMSELVES..police themselves lets see how that works out
Police haters, you know you can always move overseas but we know you won’t. We both know why. You wouldn’t last a minute where people don’t care what you have to say.
Instead of defunding police, we should defund the criminal freeloaders who blame us for their Black skin. No one in this country should get EBT cards. Food depots selling food donated by charities and grocery chains could sell basic good food for cents on the dollar. Children might be fed real food instead of fast food junk that makes them fat, and EBT fraud could be wiped out. We need to get these troublemakers off the government teat. They are never going to be happy, so let’s stop trying to buy their good will with Free Stuff. SIXTEEN TRILLION taxpayer dollars have disappeared down the government rat hole since LBJ’s “War on Poverty.” We still have poverty and we definitely have war, but we don’t have our SIXTEEN TRILLION.

There has never...NEVER ever been a country on the face of the earth who has done more to help raise the status of a single group of people than the United States.
It’s sad that only a small percentage of the black community embraced the opportunities given to them. Food aid, housing aid, aid for their children, education, medical care. Good grief.
Any black person in this country, regardless of mistakes made in their early years, could go back to school. Finish their high school education and enroll in further education...free or nearly free, all the while having their child care, housing, food assistance paid for so they can be successful.
Not only this, the government...all governments, local, state, federal hire disproportionate numbers of blacks to give them OPPORTUNITY. Dept. of motor vehicles, Social services, TSA, Transportation...you name it, you will see mostly blacks working in these positions.
We have black high level military folks, professors, business people, two atty generals, the president for crying out loud, sports player...highly paid sports figures...but it’s just not enough. Still a small percentage of the total blacks in this country.
I don’t get it. They still blame whites?
There are so many good upstanding blacks that contribute to society and it’s just a crying damn shame their own people tarnish their good names.
I would have been surprised if this had not happened.
