Dallas sniper Micah Johnson was shunned by the New Black Panther Party after he began encouraging fellow members to take up arms, the hate group's leader X claimed Monday.
Houston-based New Black Panther Party leader Quanell X told radio station KTRH he "excused" Johnson when the Army veteran encouraged the group to stockpile guns and ammunition.
Quanell X,leader of the New Black Panther Party, said he "excused" Johnson from the group when he espoused violence. "I knew brother, and brother had spent some time with us in New Black Panther Party nation and he also worked some security details for me in events that we had," X said in the radio interview with host Mike Patrick.
It was not clear if X considered Johnson a member of his group, but he said he told Johnson "to excuse himself" from the group about three years ago after Johnson questioned why the group was not buying guns and ammunition to fight the government.
I told him, This is not Afghanistan. See a therapist, X said. We are an organization that has a paramilitary chain of command. He ignored that chain of command.
X said he did not warn authorities and that he could not know that Johnson, who he called a "ticking time bomb," would perpetrate what was the most deadly attack against U.S. law enforcement since 9/11.

Shunned my a*s.
They’re distancing themselves.
Sure Quannell, I believe you.
Right.
Im sure Quanell feels the same about the planned armed protest at the RNC in Cleveland. I understand he’s calling a presser to tell the brothers to “piece-fully” protest in Cleveland.
lol
right.
I am sure ole quanell X was the one who gave him the order!
well hes their patron saint now...
Quanell is a joke in the Houston area - a former drug dealer and community con artist.....
Because he wasn’t radical enough.
That's their SOP. Quanell the Tenth probably figured that there *might* be a photo of Johnson wearing NBP regalia floating around, so he couldn't outright deny that the guy was a member.
And anyone who doesn't think the Panthers are stockpiling firearms and ammo is painfully naïve.
FBI Director Comey needs to make a statement. My suggestion, based on both his demonstrated political bias and his speaking style:

Although there is evidence of potential violations of the statutes regarding conspiracy to commit mass murder, our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case. Prosecutors necessarily weigh a number of factors before bringing charges. There are obvious considerations, like the strength of the evidence, especially regarding intent. Responsible decisions also consider the context of a persons actions, and how similar situations have been handled in the past.
In looking back at our investigations into conspiracy to commit mass murder, we cannot find a case that would support bringing criminal charges on these facts. All the cases prosecuted involved some combination of: clearly intentional and willful conspiracies to commit mass murder by individuals or groups not connected to Black Lives Matter; or proof of intent to commit mass murder in such a way as to support an inference of intentional conspiracy of which the president, or over these past seven years the so-called president, disapproved. We do not see those things here.
To be clear, this is not to suggest that in similar circumstances, a group outside Black Lives Matter that engaged in this activity would face no consequences. To the contrary, those individuals are often subject to charges and sanctions. But that is not what we are deciding now.
As a result, although the Department of Justice makes final decisions on matters like this, we are expressing to Justice our view that no charges are appropriate in this case.
I know there will be intense public debate in the wake of this recommendation, as there was throughout this investigation. What I can assure the American people is that this investigation was done competently, honestly, and independently. In addition to ordering me to reach this conclusion, the so-called president has ordered me to state that no outside influence of any kind was brought to bear.
Quanell X has been a joke ever since his attempted Joe Horn protest.
He and his homies marched toward the Joe Horn house and were confronted by hundreds of patriots. Big bad dudes quietly retreated to their SUVs and drove off.
hmm. "Army veteran who served from 2009 to 2015."
how does that timeline resolve???
and, with Momma saying that the military "didn't meet his expectations" (so, maybe part of that 'expectation' was to be trained infantry instead of the lower skill-level carpenter?)
I remember watching that on tv.... he is a dirty, disgusting opportunist.
Also believe QX’s wife is Chinese but have never seen the two of them out together. QX, Sheila Jackson Lee and Sylvester Turner - quite a leadership team - although I have to admit Turner, in many respects, is a whole lot better than Porker.

Yeah, but sadly there are plenty who are celebrating Johnson.
I live outside the city limits, but if Turner filled even one pothole, he is ahead of the former mayor.
Yeah, right.
BS. They don’t want any part of the backlash, that’s all. Easier to lie to Whitey than face the music.
