A new poll released from JMC Analytics in Florida (full pdf below) shows Donald Trump leading Hillary Clinton 47% to 42%, and leading with Hispanic voters 49% to 36%.
Some (particularly MSM) pundits will find these results quite shocking however, we do not. Weve repeatedly pointed out that Latino voters in Florida are very familiar with strong Patrone male figures within their family. Trump represents a very familiar cultural voice for them.

“What is the difference between a Latino and a Hispanic?”
A Latino is of Central American/Caribbean ancestry and not a “White Hispanic”
I think
Can a person be both a Latino and a Hispanic?
Yes. You are then a special subset known as a "Hispino".
Yeah I agree. Trump is doing better among Republicans than Hillary is among Democrats? I don’t think so. Hillary creamed Sanders in the Florida primary. Her problem is not with Democrats but rather with those who aren’t.
If they are in South America than yes!
Latanic would just not work. Hispino sounds much better.
I’m only surprised by the low number of undecided. Did the pollsters push the undecided to pick one, anyone just because they thought that would be a better poll result?
After each of the conventions to the extent the numbers jump up and down it proves there were more undecided than the pre-convention polls showed.
Many Cruz voters are still undecided. After the Republican convention that will change one way or the other. Cruz voters only have the option of the Constitution Party. So it will be interesting how the CP does in the few states where it has ballot access.

Latinos speak Latin
This is great news. The Latino population is getting the big picture. When illegals flood their neighborhoods wanting to live with others that speak their language, the over crowding drives costs up, takes away the few available jobs and brings in those who resort to illegal alternatives to support themselves. Those in these neighborhoods do not want their fragile existence stressed out even more and know Trump will work to protect them.
NewYoricans, or Puerto Rico Puertoricans?
“Can a person be both a Latino and a Hispanic?”
Yes.
Both Latino and Hispanic terms work for me. Let’s not get hung up on the terminology. You say Hispanic and I say Latino
you say car and I say auto Hispanic, Latino, car, auto
let’s call the whole thing off.
A Latino and a Hispanic walk into a bar...
What, Sundress from the Conservative Clothestree blog is trash?
Well, yeah, you’re right.
I saw another Florida poll earlier today that was first posted as from the Tampa Tribune, then later identified as an internal one conducted by Governor Rick Scott.
It showed Trump up 47% to 45% over Killary—but I love this poll even more, obviously!!
Trump just tweeted this poll!!!
BTW, hoosiermama, are you in fact in Indiana.
I’m in Maryland and hoping Trump picks Pence for Veep!!
FR Mail on its way!
Pence was raise about twenty miles from here!
Remember him from his radio days.
Common sense with a quick wit!
I wondered the same thing.
Hispanic used to mean people from the Iberian Peninsula, but now it has been stretched to anyone speaking Spanish.
Same for Latino, so why do they use both?
###########
The distinction used to be, as you say, hispanic meant European, Iberian derivation. Latino or Ladino referred to South and Central American Spanish speakers, inclusive of mestizos. It is all hopelessly muddled together now.
