The fact that people might not have the actual fact of something doesn't diminish their feelings on said subject. The majority of people refer to the battle flag as The Stars an Bars. It might not be technically accurate but in the scheme of things not anything to get upset about. If I had to hazard a guess one could inform them of it and they could care less!!
