Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke, Jr., reacted to the shootings of police officers in Dallas, calling resident Obama the “Cop-Hater-in-Chief” and strongly criticized the resident’s comments on polarizing incidents between police officers and minorities.

David A. Clarke Jr., a Democrat, was elected to a 4-year term as the sheriff of Milwaukee County in 2002, and was re-elected in 2006, 2010 and 2014. In those elections he won, respectively, with 74%, 78%, 74%, and 79% of the vote. In April 2016 he was named Law Enforcement Leader of the Year by the Federal Law Enforcement Officer Association Foundation.

Exactly. In the county where I live, the sheriff and others have to run as Democrats. They are a long way from being Democrats. Most of the population here are trained from birth to vote for Democrats.

My admiration of Sheriff David Clarke grows every time I see him speak on Fox News. He’s not quite a Joe Arpaio, but he’s forthright, speaks with authority, and does not hold back his honest opinions in a PC manner.
It is interesting how certain politicians blame everyone except the culture that fuels their lawlessness. Remember when the politicians accused Trump instead of the protesters who shut down his rally in Chicago? None of them thought about the Trump supporters right to free assembly nor Trump’s right to free speech. No one questions anarchy and look for scapegoats to pin the blame on. Politicians who do that are too stupid to lead a dog kennel.
You misunderstood my “he.” Maybe it was my fault, but I thought it was clear that I was talking about obama. I am well aware of Sheriff Clarke and have followed him with admiration.

The good Sheriff is NOT a PC Hack. Unlike the Interim Police Chief of Memphis.
He is an elected official I assume? So all races must like the way he does his job. Unlike the Police Chief of Memphis who is APPOINTED or HIRED who will always be a PC Hack and black.
If it is anything like the high crime areas of Memphis, they scream and holler about the high crime and murder rates in their communities but DO NOT WANT the Police, not even black Police in their ‘hood’. And most of the Memphis Police force is black, that is the way they want it as they control Memphis government...DEMONRAT STUPIDITY rules. Can’t get your way holler racism.
Very under educated population pool, half have been to prison. Yet all they want on their Police Dept are blacks, so they are down 400 officers. White officers can’t make rank when they out perform their black counter parts on promotion test, so they throw the whole batch out. They use numbers not names, but still holler racism when they can’t pass the testing, but the white officer Aces it, so the whole test batch is thrown out, you can’t promote a white officer over a black one. Unless the white officer files lawsuits of reverse discrimination. One of our friends had to take the Major’s exam 4 times, Aced it for the 4th time and had to file a reverse discrimination lawsuit to be promoted.
I think most sheriff’s are elected officials. Police chiefs are usually political appointees.
Sheriff Clarke should be on the top of Trump’s VP list right now.
It should be down to Clarke and Blackburn.
Rocket science isn’t needed here, fortunately. Nobody is asking college degrees out of them, or even having never gone to jail.
They are struggling to find some means of independence, but in the end it can’t be had without an embrace of God. There’s a cultural stumbling block in that, in the past, many Christian churches still sinned the sin of racism. Some kind of explicitly trans-racial evangelism is needed here, I believe.
We don’t need to be knee jerking to every tumultous event. The Donks have pulled out this card in the past, and eventually other cards pushed it out of view.

Sheriffs are different than police chiefs. They are the top leo of a county. They are generally elected officials. Police chief are just for a city. They generally are appointed/hired, not elected.
Sheriffs can if necessary kick out federal leos out of their county. Police chiefs cannot.
It is why you never want to eliminate sheriff positions.
