It lowers your standard of living by limiting your choices of the best product for the best price. That’s what government does - lower your stander of living. They’re very good at it.

Yes, tariffs will be a tax on businesses importing goods. These new taxes will be offset by lower federal income tax rates. In addition as jobs stay/come back in America there will be savings through more jobs and less government handouts.
Take an online class.
That too will create a lot more jobs and tax revenue in the long run.
We can’t survive for long without a healthy manufacturing base.
We can’t outsource everything to foreign countries whose interest isn’t our welfare.
Some people say “No tariffs, ever” and I disagree with that. It is a tool to be used when needed, and only when needed, not as a band-aid to cover up corrosion and rot under the floor.

Manufacturing was killed off by robotics and mechanization, not free trade. Hell, even unskilled labor is being roboticized with fast food automated.
