Seriously. What was your point?

The government has stocked ammunition.

So have the citizens.

The Feds have been buying up hollow point ammunition, body armor, and other military items in massive amounts, ammunition which is outlawed by the Geneva Convention, whose only purpose is to kill, not wound those unlucky enough to be hit by such ammo, when you have federal agencies like the IRS, the EPA, the USDA (Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service to be exact), the Department of Veteran’s Affairs, Social Security Administration, even the damn Smithsonian Museum!

The fact is, armed federal agents in these alphabet soup agencies outnumber the entire Marine Corps now!

This is not good at all.

IIRC, a brief view of the incident on video showed the guy on his stomach on the pavement with a cop kneeling on his back and firing into his back.

Actually, he was laying on his back with the two officers on top of him:

I had heard the suspect was shot in the back; but the report I saw said the phone recording the incident had been dropped and just audio was available.

Will be interesting to see if this suspect resisted police or disobeyed lawful orders.

Seems pretty clear he was armed, but that may be disputed too.

I don’t agree w/shooting an unarmed suspect in the back.

Law enforcement can correct me if I am wrong, but that doesn’t seem like a legal thing to do.

Armed, resisting, is another story.

This looks like a horrible shoot. Note, I say “looks” like. When we see all the videos we will know more but, it sounds like the man was killed because he was carrying a gun.

I was once stopped for a traffic violation, it was during a parade and my driveway (a few hundred yards long) was being used as the finish line. A cop denied me access to my drive. My dog was in the car and barked at the officer. The officer put his hand on his weapon like he was getting ready to pull it out, I asked if he was going to shoot me. He had me get out of the car and started frisking me and found my concealed (legally) weapon. He started freaking out and yelling at the top of his voice “Gun!, Gun!, Gun!”. At that time three other officers came running at me. I thought I was going to be killed. Instead I was locked up for the night for disorderly conduct. It was a really bad experience for me. I need medicine every 4 hours and was denied while in jail. It was summer so I was in shorts and short sleeved shirt. The Jail was kept at 65°F to ward off infections I was told. I nearly froze to death and was racked with pain without my medicine.

I say all that because some cops do bad stuff just because they can and get away with it. One of my sons was a cop and they used to stand around talking and laughing about the horrible things they did to people.

I realize that society needs cops, probably most cops are good people but some, not just a few are not good people.

It looks to me like this poor guy was killed because he had a gun in his pocket. He was already on the ground being tazed when he was shot. It just so happened that the cops lost their body cams in the “struggle”.

This is sickening. It does not just happen to blacks but every once in a while BLM has something to complain about, this looks like one of those times.

the drive-by media/BLM/Soros narrative for this summer is supposed to be “black rage against injustice”. this is how they think they’re going to win in November. it will all start for real the week of the RNC convention. all of the media stories therefore must fit this narrative. until the November election, the drive-by media will be hammering this home on every story. if the Crooked C-Word wins the election, the narrative will be dropped just like OWS was dropped immediately after King Barry the Fool won in 2012. if Trump wins, expect 4 more years of this narrative on your TV every evening.

He was going to night school to get his GED to better himself.

I remember a cop shooting in Baton Rouge some years ago. A black TV anchor tried to stir things up- he had been eating at a coffee shop in line of sight to the incident. TV guy ended up without a job and needing to leave town.

Pre-Katrina, Baton Rouge was a nice enough place.

I agree with you that militarization of these departments is insane. The EPA, IRS, and Smithsonian may have authority, but enforcement of the law should be handled by security agencies.

Cut (dumb-dumb ) and hollow point ammunition was outlawed in the Geneva Convention because it created wounds that were almost impossible to treat. Militarily speaking, it’s often more advantageous to wound an enemy soldier that kill them outright, as they become a burden on men and other enemy resources when wounded. Ball ammunition is more apt to simply wound than kill.

But the fact remains that such hollow ammunition is better at delivering the full energy of the round, while also preventing over-penetration, which could put others behind the target at risk.

Most people serious about safe and responsible self defense carry hollow point ammunition. The goal is not to wound an attacker putting your life, or the life of your family, at risk. The goal is to stop the threat by delivering maximum damage as quickly as possible.

How very much I would have liked to make a big stink but I live in a small town and I was told that they could make my life miserable. After spending one night in jail they made me a believer about making my life miserable.

I had some really horrible thoughts about what I could do to the arresting officers personally but finally got over it. Sometimes being a Christian is hard.
