FBI Director on Hillary Emails: A Person Who Engaged in Similar Circumstances “Would Face Sanctions”
Gateway Pundit ^ | 7/5/2016 | Jim Hoft

Posted on 07/05/2016 10:14:51 AM PDT by GilGil

“To be clear this is not to suggest that in similar circumstances a person who engaged in this activity would face no consequences. To the contrary those individuals are often subject to security or administrative sanctions but that’s not what we’re deciding here. “

The FBI’s excuse was that she was technologically illiterate. If that really is the case, she should be imprisoned for knowingly being incompetent at her job, and Soetoro should be imprisoned for appointing her to the position.

It’s far more likely that Hitlery knew exactly what she was doing in order to destroy America, but she should be imprisoned or executed in that scenario as well.

That unauthorized removal case is on a different statute. Comey mentioned that statute in passing, but did not, in his statement, apply the facts to that statute. Instead he discussed applying the fact to 793(f).

The linked article fails to make the distinction between the statutes too.

The legal standard for removal is "knowingly." Neither criminal intent nor gross negligence is required to make a violation.

The U.S. attorney's office charged him Friday with "unauthorized removal and retention of classified documents and material," a misdemeanor. He made his first and only court appearance Wednesday, when he pleaded guilty and was sentenced.

“He sounds like one of Obama’s supreme court justices.”

Hell, he sounds like Bush’s Chief Justice.

While he’s whitewashing the whole thing, he does bring up a point about Clinton deserving “sanctions.” She badly bungled everything she did as Secretary of State; our relationship with Russia went to hell, the world is in flames, American diplomats were murdered. Any other person in her circumstances would be fired. They sure as hell would not get promoted.

Comey’s failure to do his duty as FBI Director does not excuse the American electorate from doing their duty in keeping an incompetent criminal out of the White House.

It’s sickening to watch a ‘man’ destroy his own integrity.......if he ever had any.

They threw a country away for the Clintons ! Absolute fools. The Russians must now launch a first strike. The US government is no longer contained by the rule of law.

He knows she will not be prosecuted, so he’s basically telling us that she is guilty but not prosecutable.

He does not want to lose his job, have his family harassed or threatened, lose his pension.

Does it even matter?

Did the FBI Director not stand up there sweating at the microphone stating she compromised everything?

Comey said “no reasonable prosecutor” would pursue the case. Prosecutors must consider the likelihood of a conviction. If we could not convict OJ, what makes you think any jury would convict Hillary? At least a third of the jury would be sporting “Free Hillary” tatoos.

You raise an interesting point. I believe this was the main subjective rationale used to avoid prosecution.

And the creatures outside looked from pig to man, and then from man to pig, and from pig to man again, and already it was impossible to tell which was which.

FR’s resident FBI boot lickers—who were dead wrong (and abusive to boot) are coming out of helmet defilade to explain what they really meant to say ....

Here’s Sam Adams take on this debacle, on another thread : “I’ll take the silver lining that the FBI established that Crooked Hillary and the State Department under her watch were careless and incompetent with our national security.”

So by his lights, it was the right decision. `That was a good thing the FBI Director Comey did. It was a real good thing, Anthony.’
