I concur.
Not to be arrogant, but I feel we have one of those families.
Even though the kids are mostly grown and somewhat spread out, all get along well and are close friends.
I am their father, my wife is their mother. We’re not their best friends.
The kids know that we’ll help them with anything. One is moving from 700 to 200 miles away. My wife is helping her research apartments now
My sons both lent their backpacking gear to one of their sisters and her roommate. They called on me for advice and had a great trip
We raised them traditionally. I went to work and my wife stayed home to nurture and educate them.
Church and biblical Christianity were the cornerstone while family made up the rest of the building blocks.
We also ate dinner together nearly every night.
You can certainly legitimately thank the good Lord for the success you’ve seen through living out such a model.
After all, you didn’t think it up yourself, therefore there’s nothing to be arrogant or brag in yourself about. It is as open-source as Linux is.
