The actual headline was: PolitiFact: Fact-checking Hillary Clinton's claim she never sent, received classified information on personal email.

Saturday's news that Hillary Clinton spent more than three hours speaking with the FBI bled into the Sunday news shows, with Clinton again saying she did not send or receive material marked classified through the private email server she used while secretary of state.

Obviously, if the Times were dealing with a Republican politician, this would be scored as a "Pants on Fire. But with Hillary, it's simply Half True. The greater point is that the question analyzed is the wrong question. Any query into the legality of the server, the security of the State Department server vs Hillary's basement server or is it easy to hack a basement server, would have been the most appropriate question. She would have been given a "Pants suit on Fire" for any of her answers on those questions. But of course the Times would never make her look bad.

Finally, they chose to analyze this for publication on the 4th of July, a day when almost no one will take the time to read the Tampa Bay Fishwrap of record. My first reaction was to write a letter to the editor. My chances of getting that published would be worse than the Rays chances of winning the American League East crown or Kevin Cash winning Major League Manager of the Year.

Truth is an absolute. Either it is true or not. If it is not true in every aspect then it is not true. A half-truth is not possible.

Breitbart News reported that Clinton exchanged numerous names marked by the federal government with “B3 CIA PERS/ORG” redactions, which protect intelligence sources and methods in accordance with the Central Intelligence Agency Act of 1949. Clinton’s sharing of those names on her non-secure private server could result in the FBI recommending indictment against Clinton for violating the Espionage Act.

The Espionage Act of 1917 (amended several times) essentially made it a crime for any person to convey information intended to interfere with the U.S. armed forces prosecution of the war effort or to promote the success of the country’s enemies.

Hillary set up her own private server away from the watchful eyes of the State Department. When discovered SHE deleted emails. I guess those darn yoga messages would have been too embarrassing. SHE wiped it clean. Another act of a innocent person. SHE was doing favors for foreign entities while millions of dollars were being funneled to the Clinton Foundation. There is benefit of the doubt, and then there is guzzling Kool-Aid.

Half truth my foot. In order to take Cankles at her word, you have to believe that she, as Secretary of State, never received a single email that could be deemed important enough to be classified. Hence, we don’t have to worry whether they were received or sent from her home-brew mail server. Just how dumb are her supporters for willing to give her a pass on this?

Clinton never intended on complying with the Federal Records Act, nor being subjected in any way to FOIA requests.

Her use of a private email system for official government correspondence is a black letter violation of US Government policy. She knew that before she took office.

Her exclusive use of a private email system would necessarily entail that she would receive and send classified information.... unless she expected she would never receive nor send any classified information at all as SecState.

The media should go to jail with her for putting up with this charade and covering for her law-breaking.

Well, she had Huma remove all markings from the classified email, and when she created emails with sensitive information, she did not add markings to them.

So, when she has parsed this down to the word, she did not do anything with material that had classified markings.

It is still illegal to deal with information you know or can believe to be classified in an unsafe manner.

Half true is 100% lie!

This piece is an effort to absolve Clinton of her failures. I worked in banking where we routinely reviewed personal financial statements. The statements were never marked “personal and confidential” but it was always known they were. Disclosure of personal information to an outside or unauthorized source was cause for immediate dismissal.

If Clinton is not indicted and convicted, the United States has truly evolved into a Banana Republic.

The US does use the word “Classified” to designate a level of security. The levels used are Top Secret .. Secret and Confidential.

She says the word classified because she knows that word is never used to designate a document.

“It depends on what your definition of ‘is’ is.”

The BS word parsing runs thick in this crooked family.

Trump is great because you don't HAVE TO PARSE EVERY EFFING WORD that he says.

The Uniparty wants 4 more years of the Clinton parsing thingee?

“None of the emails the State Department redacted, or any other emails made public, contained classification markings at the time they were sent, government officials said.”

Politifact decides that the dozens of emails with high level markings that were not released to the public do not exist.

I’ll watch for the Times to publish a correction and a retraction of the “Half True” classification in tomorrow’s paper. LOL
