“Wasn’t there somethng like this at a NY beach last year?”

That one turned out to be a steam explosion due to a faulty, buried power transmission line.

Just in case it were a firework I’m not sure how likely it is someone would be bringing one this powerful into Central Park. One of the pics shows his left foot twisted and mangled pretty bad. (I’d post it but don’t want to get in trouble...) I’m not convinced this was a firework either.

That is no blasting cap. Poor dude - who could imagine losing a limb while playing in the park?

Oh, that's right, in Obamarica it can happen.

Personally, I am curious about the name and religion of the young man and his friends.

I’ll hazard a guess.

This was either deliberate harassment of the Elie Wiesel funeral or an unbelievably stupid prank, using a homemade device, perhaps a small-ish pipe bomb, and was placed on top of the rock formation with the expectation that nobody was going to be climbing up there. The victim either disturbed it or was in the wrong place at the wrong time, or is also the perpetrator, we don’t know at this time.

If the intent were to actually kill and injure, it would have gone off in a crowd somewhere, instead of on top of a rock in a park. It was intended to cause a huge bang and frighten/intimidate/cause a fuss.

The party or parties are probably defecating bricks right now, because the cops with *really* be looking at this now.

M80’s cost a quarter in 1958. We used to go too China Town in NYC, JUST ABOUT 10 miles from where we lived in NJ.

Cherry Bombs were 10-15 cents depending on quantity and 1 1/2 inch firecrackers were $8.00 for a mat (80 packs)

We used to load up end of June and sell them in school for a minimum of triple what we paid. In those days we could walk anywhere in the city with no fear and ride the subways also without fear.

You didn’t hear it on fox because fox is slow on the draw, especially on weekends.

They’ve devolved to the point you may as well depend on CNN for this type of information.

Central Park looks so beautiful.

These guys’ story is full of it. They were climbing on those rocks and stepped on a firework? Hey, if it is not lit, it won’t blow off your leg. Were they trying to light fireworks, in the daytime? Seems also unlikely, but you never know. The victim (?) does not look Muslim but you never know. Once he is drugged and finished with any surgeries he won’t be able to lie in the hospital, he’ll talk. If he just stepped innocently onto something that Exploded, it wasn’t a firework.

Fireworks manufacturers should be fined for making fireworks that go off when you step on them

No way fireworks can take off a limb like a foot or leg.

Very sad. Possibly homemade. I used to cut open 60 or so firecrackers, pour powder into Dixie cup. Take 2" piece of cardboard tube from pants hanger. Seal one end with glue and tissue paper. Pour powder into other end, cram it hard. Seal end with tissue and glue. drill hole in side and put in waterproof wick. These would lift a kid off the ground when put under a trashcan upside down. We blew cinder blocks into pieces, and would seal them in wax and blow up under water. We'd also rig up these with the wicks into model rockets and make nice, loud fireballs in the sky. One of these fireballs landed in dry brush behind someone's house...was the fastest Quarter mile I ever ran to put it out. My only injury was numb hand for an hour when a regular cracker went off in my hand due to a short fuse. Can't do any of this now. It was either this or it must have been an AR-47

All I know is, it’s obviously anything except radical islamic terrorism.

My government will reassure me of that.

/s

It could be something else, but with the track record of deceit, no one will believe it.

Ain't no firecracker can do that kind of damage, not even an M-80. This is the work of someone with an agenda and access to weapons grade explosives.

There is now way this is related any way to moozlums. My “leaders” assure me every day and in every way that they are peace-loving and peaceful.
