Who turned it over to that cop? There were saner ways to manage this. They weren’t listening to the parents, they pushed them away and isolated the girl, they exacerbated the situation and escalated it.

Manage what? I am not defending the TSA but I am suggesting we wait until the facts of what happened come out before rushing to judgement.
But the narrative fits too many agendas to allow that, apparently. It is too juicy a “see I told you they were evil!” storyline to pass up.
