Ashamed to be an American? Towns crack down on American pride
Fox News ^ | 07/01/16 | Todd Starnes

The Star-Spangled Banner survived the rocket’s red glare and bombs bursting in air – only to face a modern-day threat – silly town ordinances and petty bureaucrats. I’m not sure if it’s an epidemic of anti-American nincompoopery sweeping across the fruited plain or if it’s a general lack of common sense. Maybe it’s both. I’ll let you be the judge of that.

Use the “Tombstone” Court House” Gallows, they still stand. Then the obit can be covered in the “Tombstone Epitaph
and they an be buried at the Tombstone Cem.”

You do realize that the movie was filmed in Doña Ana County, New Mexico, not Ft. Smith. Right?

I admit I wouldn’t know what it feels like to shoot a bazooka or an AR15 for that matter.

But I have killed many a deer with a head shot with my .270.

I failed to seat my .12 shotgun on my shoulder correctly once when jump shooting ducks. Felt that one for a while.

Your .270 kicks about 5 times harder than an AR-15...probably 30 times harder than a bazooka...

I also have deer hunted with a .270...My best was a lung shot at about 420 yards...

It’s not everywhere.

I recently drove through 2 very nice towns in MA,Westwood and Needham, and the main streets were lined with American flags which were placed there by the towns.

Delightful.

Hmm...comments sections sometimes get closed due to contentious debate (I thought that was the idea). Sometimes I have to hunt for the comments icon that’s not social media.

For example, the flag displayer in Lexington SC who was visited by the chief of police. Opponents of patriotic displays usually say “Rules are rules!!” or some such.

I have shot my uncle’s Mini 14. Maybe about the same as an AR15?

I have made some long shots. But my dad taught us boys how to stalk game so many shots were of shorter range. And he insisted that when we pulled the trigger we knew exactly where that bullet was going. And its effect.

What many people don’t realize is many big game hunters are highly proficient snipers.

Back when I first got married we were living in an apartment complex and I was out lighting fireworks off one 4th. The manager came along and told me I was violating the rules. I said GOOD! He said he was going to call the po-lice. I said GOOD! But he never did. He told me later he agreed with me but he had to tell me as the manager.

I killed that deer over a bean field in Middle Tennessee...No way to stalk...When I hunt in woods I use a Marlin .35 caliber lever action...Most deer are 15 to 30 yards...

All the more reason why we must rally around the Trump campaign. Putting America & the Americans first, must be the battle cry this year.

America First.

With open sights. Just like jump shooting ducks from waterways. Or pheasant hunting.

Let me tell you something I did with my son that was really stupid...

One 4th, he and some of his football teammates came over to the house and we were shooting off fireworks...

We had a bunch of those tiny bottle rockets (about as big as a firecracker)...We got in a circle and everyone lit at the same time and we spun them up in the air...if you moved, you were “out”...Those little things zipped and whirled around all over the place, then popped off...No one was hit, but it was kinda nervous...

Oh, yeah...open sights in the woods, for sure...

I never duck or pheasant hunted...Didn’t have pheasants in E TN...

Did a whole bunch of dove shooting though....

I was going to tease you a bit because of this line "I killed that deer over a bean field in Middle Tennessee", cause it seems like people in the Middle East have been killing each other over a patch of sand for centuries but I didn't. I didn't want you to think I thought you were full of beans. :-))

That New York Daily News reditorial that Mr. Starnes cited sounds like it might be an exercise in Critical Theory.

Unpatriotic Nanny State PING!

My dad had an old friend who really knew how to lead a target and really helped me.

He told us a story once about how he went duck hunting at a local reservoir. He said he was getting his canoe ready when all these rooster pheasants started flying over the hill. So he started shooting pheasants. Not realizing it was the Fish and Game releasing the birds on the other side.
