DHS top dog Jeh Johnson refuses to answer Senate on scrubbing terror docs of all mention of jihad
Jihad Watch ^ | 6/30/16 | Robert Spencer

Posted on 06/30/2016 11:00:03 AM PDT by Nachum

Throughout this questioning by Ted Cruz, DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson maintains that how the enemy is identified is unimportant, and that he and other intelligence and law enforcement top dogs know full well who the enemy is, and are busy foiling his plots. Cruz, in response, shreds Johnson, pointing to numerous ways in which the Obama administration’s politically correct willful ignorance led to danger signs being disregarded numerous times — danger signs that, if they had been heeded, might have prevented the Fort Hood, Boston, and Orlando jihad massacres.

Johnson’s irritable arrogance here, and refusal to address the facts Cruz adduces, is revealing of the mindset of the administration in its refusal to name the enemy accurately. The facts to which Cruz points show how this policy is costing lives.

where you err is believing this is all about you.

It isn’t about you or your sanctimonious self righteous clinging to principals.

the primary eliminated that battle.

you must now decide between your selfish self esteem or America.

Your err is to believe this is all about you and what you believe to be right and that any that don’t believe exactly as you are wrong, not entitled to their belief you have clearly made it about you.

Thanks, Gator. It’s amazing to me that some Freepers are still struggling to process what happened in the primary, and why.

That is the point it is my choice to do or not and not your right to demand obedience to your doctrine. And by demanding such you stand against the Republic and every thing it stands for. This is exactly why I won't endorse Trump, because of this. The blind and unconditional loyalty, won't end even when he is elected (Something that I have resigned myself too), but mark my words it will no stop with Trump's election, it will continue in unwavering fashion and history is full of examples of what happens then and the Republic still falls just in a different way.

My statement stands even though I do not agree with you, I full defend your right to believe as you wish. Unfortunately it is clearly a one way street as you demand I change my view to match yours or be dismissed. So much for the First Amendment and so much for the Republic you claim to be saving.

“...it is my choice to do or not and not your right to demand obedience to your doctrine.”

I have a perfect right to say anything I wish, to anyone I want, including you NeverTrump Cruzers.

I’m not demanding obedience from you. I’m merely stating the facts as they’ve developed over the course of the last year. It’s you who chose to ignore everything that was happening in front of your eyes, and use your own intelligence and reasoning ability to properly analyze the events which played out before you.

Like your friends who rode the lightning, you chose to believe, instead of think for yourself.

You want to sit there with your arms folded and your lip stuck out, because Ted was soundly rejected by the Republican electorate, be my guest. It’s you who will one day feel a fool for having refused to help a courageous patriot help us save our nation.

You probably should refrain from commenting on articles related to the presidential race, lest you out yourself as a NeverTrumper to the wider community. That is, if you value your membership here. It’s JimRob’s house, and he’s made it quite clear, that talk which demeans or undermines support for our nominee, will not be tolerated.

I completely agree with that.

More troubling though is the way so many wish to silence those who don’t agree.

That's bull. What "so many wish" to do, is to squelch what amounts to nothing more than counterproductive enemy propaganda.

Why? Because it only helps Hillary.

Once again. This community (and the GOP electorate) conducted the debates you're referring to, and they were definitively settled in Donald Trump's favor.

The time for conservatives to tear down Mr. Trump is long passed. Continued attacks on him, from ostensible conservatives, only help Hillary Clinton. They aid and abet the enemy.

The problem is that some fans of Ted Cruz, to this day, simply haven't accepted the fact that he lost, and similarly cannot bring themselves to embrace Donald Trump, even though it's patently obvious that he and this movement are by far the best hope for this Republic at this point in History. If you don't believe that, then expect to be shouted down, censored, censured, or whatever.

Why? Because this is War. In War, there is propaganda and counterpropaganda. There are still Cruz fans who continue to talk past this obvious fact.

The only Freepers that have been zotted during this period are those who became de facto "Tokyo Roses", helping Hillary by failing to accept reality and continuing with gratuitous smears and attacks towards the presumptive GOP nominee.

This community categorically rejects any and all critiques of Trump which parrot the Trump-hating talking points that we hear constantly from the Media, Establishment, and GOPe (but I repeat myself).

Furthermore, I strongly reject your attempt to characterize Jim Robinson's decisions as anything other than the reasonable, logical, and constructive actions that they are, both for this site, and especially for this Revolution which is occurring right before our eyes— a Revolution that Ted Cruz and his bitter ilk continue to deride, dismiss, and weaken by undermining both its leader and its adherents.

It's hard for me to see how anyone who calls himself or herself a conservative or a patriot, could be oblivious to what is happening, and refuse to embrace it.

Donald Trump has demonstrated his worthiness. That debate is over. Ted Cruz needs to get over his bitterness. He was beaten fair and square. Then, he needs to honor the pledge he made, endorse Donald Trump, and direct the remaining holdouts to do the same.

I am truly sorry for what has happened and though you may not see it now it has weakened all of us.

I'm sorry too, and if it has weakened us, it is the Trump-haters and Cruz fanboys alone who are responsible, not Jim Robinson, this community, Donald Trump, or his voters.

Vote Trump!

This is exactly why I won't endorse Trump, because of this.

That's the lamest excuse ever conceived in the mind of man. Rejecting a candidate because of a petulant n towards his supporters?

You're proving others' point by making this all about yourself and your self-righteous indignation. If you're loathe to consider the future of this Republic under Donald Trump, how about considering the future of this Republic under Hillary Clinton? Those are your two choices.

So fine: don't endorse Donald Trump. Just vote for him. Please. Pretty please with sugar on top.

Because not doing so is tantamount to voting for Hillary, whether you like it or not, or whether you believe it or not.

Remain oblivious if you must, and still vote for Trump.

Before long, I predict that even the would-be conservative messiah Ted Cruz will give his permission to do so...

Using your logic wouldn’t not voting for Hilary be a vote for Trump?

Using your logic wouldn’t not voting for Hilary be a vote for Trump?

No, it wouldn't. Let's think through this, with the presumption that we're trying to keep a totalitarian crook named Hillary Clinton from winning the White House in 2016:

1) Hillary is a known criminal, and Trump isn't.

2) By voting for Hillary, you're increasing the likelihood that the crook wins the White House.

3) By not voting for Hillary, and also not voting for Trump, you're similarly increasing the likelihood that a crook wins the White House.

4) Only by voting for Donald Trump, therefore, can you reduce the chance of a known crook winning the White House.

Not voting for Trump is, for all intents and purposes, a de facto vote for Hillary.

Does that clarify things for you?

Bitter, butthurt Cruz fanboys need to stop playing games with the future of this Republic, and do what's right for this country. And what's right is unifying the party and voting for Donald Trump.

I hope that clarifies my logic.

Vote Trump!
