DHS top dog Jeh Johnson refuses to answer Senate on scrubbing terror docs of all mention of jihad
Jihad Watch ^ | 6/30/16 | Robert Spencer

Posted on 06/30/2016 11:00:03 AM PDT by Nachum

Throughout this questioning by Ted Cruz, DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson maintains that how the enemy is identified is unimportant, and that he and other intelligence and law enforcement top dogs know full well who the enemy is, and are busy foiling his plots. Cruz, in response, shreds Johnson, pointing to numerous ways in which the Obama administration’s politically correct willful ignorance led to danger signs being disregarded numerous times — danger signs that, if they had been heeded, might have prevented the Fort Hood, Boston, and Orlando jihad massacres.

Johnson’s irritable arrogance here, and refusal to address the facts Cruz adduces, is revealing of the mindset of the administration in its refusal to name the enemy accurately. The facts to which Cruz points show how this policy is costing lives.

I would like to see him as Attorney General, and maybe on the Supreme Court.

“This is why I like to see Cruz in the White House”

Cruz is a skilled attorney, but let’s not get carried away.

AG I could go for, but Ted has supported things that make me not want him on the high court. I fear he’d become another Roberts.

That’s been fairly evident for some time.

At the White House’s Summit on Extremism, Homeland Security Chief, Jeh Johnson said: “My job is to give voice to the plight of Muslims in this country.”

Wow, do the america people think that is his job?
>

I presume none of the perfumed princes took him to task over that statement, nor followed up to ask the REST of the Citizens of this once fine Republic. /rhetorical ?, sorry.

Rules and Laws? They only exist for ONE people...The People.

We have long since become a nation of Man. They don’t even TRY to hide it anymore. Why not? Nobody even gets a slap on the wrist anymore

IRS? DHS? EPA? Zero? Nope, even the harshly worded letter is ‘too much’ these days.

I liked my friends and had respect for them and many had my back. Now most of what is left on FR only have a knife for one’s back.

I is a very sad state of affairs and sadder still is that so many don’t see it that way.

FR is much the worst for lack of open and honest debt and has grown as intolerant of any who won’t take the ‘blood oath’.

Charley Waite: “Well you may not know this, but there’s things that gnaw at a man worse than dying.”

Any one telling me I must think like they do no matter how right they judge their cause is something that ‘gnaws’ on me. And the fact that such demands don’t raises the hackles of more including those who hold those believes makes me fear for the republic as much and maybe even a little more than anything the left is presently up to.

Well this will get me zotted for sure now, but then if it does it will only go to prove my point.

Friend, we had the debate for ten long months on this website, while the primary was ongoing. That debate, and the primary, is now over. Trump won them both - in commanding fashion.

If you followed the primary and the tens of thousands of discussions here, and still came away disbelieving in Trump, I don’t know how to help you. He won the race because he was, far and away, the best person for the job. It’s really that simple.

You pine and weep for a bunch of wooden headed imbeciles who failed to think past their own preconceived notions of a man whose stated policies and deep seated beliefs, are more in tune with conservative Americans, than any candidate we’ve seen in a generation.

Some of them were my friends, too, but they proved themselves incapable of rational thought and analysis when it mattered most. Perhaps someday they’ll figure out what most Republican voters concluded about Trump early on. I really hope so. We need them on our side.

If it REALLY didn’t matter Jeh and Obama would have been using the terms ‘radical islamic terrorist’ years ago.

The reason it matters to them sooooooo much is their goal is to bind laws dealing with radical Muslims to conservative Americans. Obama’s going after the ‘vast right wing conspiracy’... his ONLY REAL enemy.

'We need them on our side.'

To bad that wasn't thought of and said a long time ago, but it wasn't and the rally cry now is "We don't need you!" So why would they seek reconciliation?

What's to reconcile? They want us to kiss their boo boos and stroke their pointy heads. Ain't gonna happen while the very existence of our nation hangs in the balance.

Such whiney little snowflakes need to get past their patently obvious miscalculations about Trump and get with the rest of us. If you're sitting there sniffling with a case of butthurt, you need to wise up and get a grip, too.

The fact that you can not accept that someone can have real, logical, moral reason to disagree with you is most troubling.

More troubling though is the way so many wish to silence those who don’t agree. They use the same methods that we have been subjected to by the other side for eight years Disparage and ridicule those who would dare to disagree. A good example is writing off legitimate disagreement as ‘butt hurt’ and then when that doesn’t work use force to silence them.

Yes the goals may be different, but the methods are the same.

I am truly sorry for what has happened and though you may not see it now it has weakened all of us. I leave you with the words of Voltaire:

I Disapprove of What You Say, But I Will Defend to the Death Your Right to Say It

“The fact that you can not accept that someone can have real, logical, moral reason to disagree with you is most troubling.”

I can accept that you disagree. What I don’t accept, is the idea that you reject Donald Trump as Republican nominee, on logical and moral grounds.

To oppose Trump at this point (as some die hard Cruzers are still doing), is illogical AND immoral. Honestly, it’s downright idiotic, and should be condemned and resisted by every patriotic American, because it’s destructive to our shared goal of saving our beloved country from certain death.

Look. This isn’t a game, or politics as usual. It’s war, and you’d better get on the right side of it. Trump is our last chance to win our country back through peaceful means. He won the primary because most Republican voters measured the field and judged him to be the most capable of accomplishing what must be done.

If you do not change your heart and help push this good man across the finish line, you will have to live with the knowledge that you did nothing to stop the criminal Clintons from seizing control of our White House again.
