Is anybody besides me just not buying this story? In order to believe this report you would have to accept that not one but two military craft loaded with high tech equipment lost all communications and ability to navigate. Just floating aimlessly in enemy waters. Then you have to depressingly believe our navy personnel are a bunch of snow flakes who at age 20 something can’t stay up all night and then take a fast boat ride somewhere. In addition you have to accept that they are a bunch of snivelling weaklings too scared to blow a couple of bass boats out of the water with overwhelming firepower. Then start boo hooing after capture.

If this story is true which I doubt we are in bigger trouble than I thought.

By saying that one is “not buying this story”, is this an expression of the belief that Obama, in the capacity of Commander-in-Chief of the US military, would insure that our navy is tougher than this? because it seems like this is exactly where Obama wants our fighting forces to be, frankly, especially when up against his buddies in Iran.

The story is a load of !@#$. If there is any branch of service that is technologically light-years ahead of everyone else it’s the U.S. Navy.

We have more equipment and better equipment (by generations in technological terms) to protect the U.S. One does have to ask if WE would be friendly to foreign carrier groups floating just off our coasts. I fail to understand why people on this message board both decry interventionism and then clamor for airstrikes all in the same breath. It’s usually the same canard: “I believe we need to protect U.S. interests.” It’s comical to read sometimes.
