The story is a load of !@#$. If there is any branch of service that is technologically light-years ahead of everyone else it’s the U.S. Navy.
We have more equipment and better equipment (by generations in technological terms) to protect the U.S. One does have to ask if WE would be friendly to foreign carrier groups floating just off our coasts. I fail to understand why people on this message board both decry interventionism and then clamor for airstrikes all in the same breath. It’s usually the same canard: “I believe we need to protect U.S. interests.” It’s comical to read sometimes.
One of the more disturbing parts of this report is that the crew failed to present a hard target. Which means they didn’t even present arms or bring those 50 cals or 40 mic mics or whatever up to position. Its mind boggling.
Our generation had better save this nation because the millennials are just not prepared to do it.
No offense, but you have to be really stupid to think that technology is evenly distributed when a substantial chunk of the fleet still in use was built in WW2.
Not to mention we have Russian bombers and subs off our coasts all the time.
I have no interest in being “fair” to regimes that execute rape victims, queers and Christians, blow up Jewish centers in Argentina, and put out hit requests on dissident authors and send scouts out to case NY City tunnels and bridges.
