Newt Gingrich might be a fine campaign advisor, but he would probably be the worst Republican on the political scene that Trump could ever pick as a running mate.

No he would not. As sad as it is with today’s voter in mind he needs to select a VP based of popularity and even attractiveness. As sexist as it sounds he needs a good looking female, black would be best.

I think trump should wait for convention and Veep vetting. But not a party animal which can’t pass the smell test. The goal is a seated Republican and a healthy SCOTUS appointment. A seated Republican is just not possible with a toxic Veep.
