Full title: Clinton Email Update: Judicial Watch Releases Former Clinton Deputy Chief of Staff Huma Abedin Deposition Testimony

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch today released the deposition transcript of Huma Abedin, former deputy chief of staff to Hillary Clinton throughout her four years as secretary of state and who also had an email account on the clintonemail.com system. The deposition transcript is available here.

Abedin testified it was Clinton’s decision to use her non-state.gov email; to her knowledge that only Hillary Clinton, Abedin and Chelsea Clinton had accounts on the clintonemail.com system; and that the clintonemail.com system may have interfered with Mrs. Clinton’s ability to do her job.

Abedin is among seven depositions of former Clinton top aides and State Department officials that Judicial Watch has questioned under oath. Under Secretary for Management Patrick F. Kennedy testified today, Wednesday, June 29.

This discovery arises in a Judicial Watch FOIA lawsuit that seeks records about the controversial employment status of Huma Abedin, former deputy chief of staff to Clinton. The lawsuit was reopened because of revelations about the clintonemail.com system. (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of State (No. 1:13-cv-01363)). Judge Sullivan ordered that all deposition transcripts be made publicly available.

Nothing will happen to either of these women except they will get fatter pocketbooks. So sick of these people and I do hope they get what’s coming to them... in spades.

Congress does nothing when treason is committed against the American people, our security, and our future. What can We The People do when treason is committed and Congress does NOTHING???

Indeed.

The whole function of government is SUPPOSED to be “to provide for the common defense and promote the general welfare” of its citizens.

Yes they do do something. They aid and abet it. Also, they protect , shield, and defend those committing the treasonous acts. For a generous cut of the loot , of course. Why do you think that they are working 24/7/365 to disarm us?

I read through the entire deposition.

There's nothing new that I noticed, other than the existence of an SSHRC@STATE.GOV account. This was apparently Hillary's actual state.gov email, but was only used for announcements -- most likely sent by someone else.

Abedin says she was never briefed on her obligation to comply with the FOIA.

She did say that she attempted to conduct all of her State Dept. business on her State.gov account, but admits there were instances where it "bled over" into her personal address on clintonemail.com. Since Clinton was using that domain exclusively, it would have never been archived.

Yes, Huma's attorney's lodged some sort of objection to every question. But, they only instructed her to not answer for a few questions, and most of them were about discussions with her legal counsel in preparation for the deposition.

I was surprised at how many times she didn't recall something until shown email she wrote. I thought my memory was getting bad, but I certainly remember email that I sent.

Appreciate your posting that, I’ve only read about a third of it so far. At least what little is brought out in these deps is on record under oath.

You can read it a lot faster if you skip every sentence that begins with "objection". :-)

There's really no evidence of wrongdoing, other than the systemic failure to comply with the requirements of the FOIA. But, we already knew that. And, with no effective penalties for a political appointee, it's a moot point anyway.

Huma was asked directly if Hillary used the server to intentionally evade the FOIA, and she said "no, not to my knowledge". Even the email where Hillary refused a State.gov account was cast as "want to keep personal email private", not any kind of concealment.

Frankly, the only hope of finding a smoking gun is if the FBI got the entire server archive from Clinton's lawyer. But, I don't know if their rules of evidence would allow them to use it -- it may be considered to be outside the scope of the FBI's investigation into leakage of classified information.

Gosh, that really makes you important. Special too.

You're important and special because you've "got stuff" on Hillary.

Yep. Pretty special.
