Merkel is just about the worst thing to happen to Germany since 1933.

We will ensure there are no negotiations based on the principle of cherry-picking, she said to applause.
Now, now. Applause is triggering. In the European Reich, they signal their approval in more creative ways.
Just who do you think you are kidding, Mr. Merkel

Tell Merkel that England doesn’t listen to demands from Kraut goosesteppers.

Frau Merkel is right - you can’t have a divorce and take assets that aren’t yours to begin with out of your marriage.
UK can take it or leave it.

Remember when Merkel defended German and Europe's sovereignty,
"I vill NOT tolerate cherry-picking terms from our uninvited barbarian invaders!!"?
Me neither.

Angela Merkel...East German apparatchik still operates like one... I think Madame Gestapo...Britain will do what ever it jolly well pleases and there is not a bloody thing you can do about it...so sit down and shut up...

Anyone wishing to leave this family cannot expect to lose all the obligations but keep the privileges. This applies to Britain as it does to everyone else.So Madam Furher believes that the Brexit means Britain is forfeiting all the benefits of the EU, but still subject to the whims of the Reich... uh, I mean the EU. The Germans want to dominate Europe, the French have already surrendered without much (if any) resistance, and the British are resisting with all their might. This sounds like something from about 75 years ago.

Britain should bring back the death penalty.
That would greatly discourage many who mean no good. Won’t discourage the hardcore terrorists but it should be enough to discourage the criminals.

Can’t cherry pick? They should walk and tell the EU to shove it. What are they going to do? Send in troops?

Belarus has a death penalty and it participates in the Eastern Partnership of the EU. They demand abolishment of death penalties in order to gain admittance.
Death penalty would probably screw them up with market relations, but it sure would discourage people like that bunch that showed up in Germany!

oh for goodness sakes. The EU isn’t the ONLY trade partner in the world. And if Canada can join the EU trading ring, then England can certainly join the soon-to-be-revisited NAFTA trading ring. (or maybe they’ll form their own with other ‘exit’ nations). It should not be thought of lightly that Brits have a very long memory - like an elephant. German Chancellor Angela Merkel said Tuesday that the EU could survive a Brexit and warned Britain the union would not tolerate cherry-picking in upcoming negotiations on their future relations. Factually true, but boy is she acting cranky. It will take a couple years for the Brits to actually withdraw from what I'm hearing. The actual terms can be negotiated, but it the EU won't budge then Britain is out -- without any niceties like free-trade agreements and such. So the East German bitch seems to be backtracking from here earlier statements about Britain having free-trade association with the EU. She's probably realized that she needs to take a hard-line or some of the other upper-tier EU members will start queuing up for the exits.

The EU must reform. Some of those many, many, referendums have the modest goal of simply changing Brussel’s more non-traditional and unpopular policies. This is absurd. There should be accountability.
