Not backing down. Gonna cram Free Trade right up her schnozz.
Yinzers are cheering.
WOW!!! Fantastic!
I read it . It is powerful.
Yeah but did Trump use foreign steel in his buildings? That is what the news will (probably already scouring building departments across the land for evidence)focus on and report
I suggest having a chat with online sellers such as ebay and amazon and making it clear that offshore cheap items from China are in seperate categories and NOT at the top of a search list.
And brick stores must put more of an emphasis upon Made in the USA and not Made in China for the profit margins.
This speech of Trump’s was not only powerful, but will prove to be effective in drawing Sander’s supporters to vote for Trump.
Wow!!!! What a great speech!!! I am so impressed. Don’t know if Manafort is behind this transformation in Trump’s speeches but I love it!!!
My aunt and uncle live in Pittsburgh. My Dad was born there but left in the late 40’s for California. The relatives have been Democrats and have voted thus. But, my aunt and uncle have seen the light, have seen the decline in steel production there and the accompanying blight.
This time, they tell me, they are voting Trump ! Pennsylvania for the win !
The man can speak.
I am sending this to everyone I can because the differences are stark. Hitlery doesn’t know squat about economics, nor foreign policy nor much else imho...but the thinking people: they should lap this up. They don’t have to get in the streets and yell...they just need to show up and pull the lever for DT.
God bless Trump and please keep him safe.
Some time ago, I posted the following:
"Perhaps the so-called "progressive" enemies of freedom understand better than those who fancy themselves as "conservatives" that in order to reverse the Founders' ideas of "People over government," and institute "government over People," they must first marginalize and destroy the ideas from which liberty is derived.
The writings of America's Founders are replete with references which rebuke would-be tyrants and cite a Higher Source for life, liberty and rights. Early histories confirm those facts.
As so-called "progressives" have led a movement in forsaking the Founders' "reliance on Divine Providence," and belief that individuals are "endowed by their Creator," they also have forsaken the principles underlying America's Constitution and Declaration of Independence, and are systematically dismantling the greatest protections for liberty ever established for a people.
"Ideas have consequences"(Weaver).
The ideas of 1776 came out of a set of ideas consistent with liberty.
We tend to forget, or have never considered, that other world views existed then, as now.
Unless today's citizens rediscover the ideas of liberty existing in what Jefferson called "the American mind" of 1776, we risk going back to the "Old World" ideas which preceded the "Miracle of America."
There are those who call themselves "progressives," when, in fact, their ideas are regressive and enslaving, and as old as the history of civilization.
Would suggest to any who wish an authentic history of the ideas underlying American's founding a visit to this web site, at which Richard Frothingham's outstanding 1872 "History of the Rise of the Republic of the United States" can be read on line.
This 600+-page history traces the ideas which gave birth to the American founding. Throughout, Richard Frothingham, the historian, develops the idea that it is "the Christian idea of man" which allowed the philosophy underlying the Declaration of Independence and Constitution to become a reality--an idea which recognizes the individual and the Source of his/her "Creator"-endowed life, liberty and law.
Is there any wonder that the enemies of freedom, the so-called "progressives," do not promote such authentic histories of America? Their philosophy puts something called "the state," or "global interests" as being superior to individuals and requires a political elitist group to decide what role individuals are to play.
In other words, they must turn the Founders' ideas upside-down in order to achieve a common mediocrity for individuals and power for themselves.
God bless Trump and please keep him safe.
We have got to stop sending jobs overseas. It's pretty simple: If you're paying $12, $13, $14 an hour for factory workers and you can move your factory South of the border, pay a dollar an hour for labor,...have no health carethat's the most expensive single element in making a car have no environmental controls, no pollution controls and no retirement, and you don't care about anything but making money, there will be a giant sucking sound going south...when [Mexico's] jobs come up from a dollar an hour to six dollars an hour, and ours go down to six dollars an hour, and then it's leveled again. But in the meantime, you've wrecked the country with these kinds of deals.
Bttt!
Outstanding speech; very well written !
With a speech and position like this, the GOP will really REALLY have to step up efforts to deny him the nomination.
With that said, his speeches are hitting points that can win a presidency. In my opinion: Spot on - and a nice complement to Nigel Farage’s speech in front of the Forth Reich (er - I mean EU parliament) earlier today.
But the media? let’s play the spin lottery:
* didn’t use US steel to build his buildings (Hillary never built anything)
* plan lacks details (on, please!)
* nothing new
* trying to pivot from other issues
* feeble attempt to raise money from Bernie supporters
* quoting past slave owners in his speech
* policies are too extreme
I could go on....
I’ve already seen the posters on FB with pictures of Trump clothing that’s made in China or Mexico. The media will turn this on him quickly and he better be prepared to explain why.
