With a speech and position like this, the GOP will really REALLY have to step up efforts to deny him the nomination.

With that said, his speeches are hitting points that can win a presidency. In my opinion: Spot on - and a nice complement to Nigel Farage’s speech in front of the Forth Reich (er - I mean EU parliament) earlier today.

But the media? let’s play the spin lottery:

* didn’t use US steel to build his buildings (Hillary never built anything)

* plan lacks details (on, please!)

* nothing new

* trying to pivot from other issues

* feeble attempt to raise money from Bernie supporters

* quoting past slave owners in his speech

* policies are too extreme

I could go on....

I’ve already seen the posters on FB with pictures of Trump clothing that’s made in China or Mexico. The media will turn this on him quickly and he better be prepared to explain why.

His company licensed the Trump name to another company, for use with apparel items.

Meaning no one (NO ONE) will bother addressing the substance of his speech. Just the hypocrisy.

...meaning no one can ever talk about making things in America, when a quick glance around their house will find items made outside the US.

The overall strategy will be how to get his message(s) into the ears of the right people.

He has. He has said, “what choice do I have? I can’t find an American manufacturer that can compete on price.”

But your point is well taken. I wish he had worked his own business dealings into his speech as a pre-emptive strike as to how American businesses are being hurt.

Finally, his speeches are one thing. But he needs to start running ads pronto to broadcast the themes from his speeches. He can not afford to continue to allow Hillary free reign of the airwaves.

"I'm going tell our NAFTA partners that I intend to immediately renegotiate the terms of that agreement to get a better deal for our workers. And I don't mean just a little bit better, I mean a lot better. If they do not agree to a renegotiation, then I will submit notice under Article 2205 of the NAFTA agreement that America intends to withdraw from the deal. "

Foreign steel for construction has been coming into the US since the 1960's at least. I recall it being offloaded in Cleveland, whose own steel mills could have produced it, but for labor costs making it uncompetitive.

They’ve shown their plan on that one... manufactured violence anywhere the wrong people may hear what the man has to say.

As a Pittsburgher, I need to let you in on a little secret. No one President nor Congress let this happen. The demise of the steel valley was a long time coming and why many of us left there in our youth. It does us no good to point fingers nor talk about the past. What we plan to do next is what is important. Do you honestly think that Hillary has the where-with-all, experience or brains to solve it. Honestly?

The Bushes looooved them some Mexico. AND some China. Coincidence? Of COURSE Clinton contributed, now we got the mess we got. So yeah, about that long.

Not that there wasn’t pressure for this kind of crap before then.

I loved the amount of the speech he devoted to cheating. Cheating is what’s killing us. That’s why these agreements all sounded good in principle, but only result in them tariffing our products even more and continuing to dump subsidized products without penalty.

Hillary can stand on top of the bodies of aborted babies, but regardless of the demise of the American steel industry, Trump will be seen as the devil incarnate.

I don’t know who’s writing these speeches (Stephen Miller?), but they are incredibly powerful and on point. This is a no-holds barred assault on the entire globalist power structure that has ruled this country for a generation.

Naw so much. Trump knows its too early to start running TV ads that people will just turn off before August. He’s not going to wast $$$ & bore people at the same time. Also, TV isn’t THE way to disseminate counter attacks & info like it used to be. Trump is proving to be a master with social media.

Trump’s going to win.

This is a real bread and butter plan. Specifics, not pipe dreams. This is they type of policy that Dem’s can not counter without being globalists.

My hat is off to the Trump Team. Great job!

I have a contact high from this speech.
