Well, it might be time to take the same principles that framed the Constitution and restate them in modern terms. A lot of people would be surprised at the social implications, once the fuzz of archaic terminology was cleared up. While the Constitution shouldn’t order society how to live, it can furnish an invitation to a wiser life when it is understood.

And the Roman Republic could not foresee the “culture, technology, etc.” on which our constitution is based.
