The foreign ministers of France and Germany are due to reveal a blueprint to effectively do away with individual member states in what is being described as an “ultimatum”.
Under the radical proposals EU countries will lose the right to have their own army, criminal law, taxation system or central bank, with all those powers being transferred to Brussels.

Controversially member states would also lose what few controls they have left over their own borders, including the procedure for admitting and relocating refugees.

Germany is winning WW3, if this battle isn't won by sane people. The intention is to turn the rest of Europe into cheap labor elclaves with all assets being owned by German banks. The euro bureaucrats try to emulate the October revolution of 1917, but in reality will be closer to the July/August crisis of 1914. Luckily many states have a non-lethal defence against this type of coup. Definitely Denmark and Ireland, most likely Poland and Czechia, and possibly Sweden and Finland, not to mention France will let their peoples have a say in referendums.

The United States works because it has one currency and member states are not sovereign.
The EU will fail because it tries to impose law on sovereign states. Eventually, there will be a breaking point. Either the member states will give up sovereignty or the union will fracture. The only question is how violent will the fracture be?
Maybe some member states stay together and call themselves the EU but it’ll be a shell, a ghost of what once was.
I’d say “prophetic”.
