White House refuses Benghazi questions for Obama

The White House and the House Select Committee on Benghazi are at a standoff over whether President Barack Obama should answer a series of questions about the 2012 terrorist attack in Libya that left four Americans dead.

Neil Eggleston, counsel to the president, blasted the committee for sending the president a list of questions about the attack — an inquiry the administration deemed inappropriate and a partisan attempt to frame the White House as uncooperative.

Eggleston has encouraged Obama not to answer the committee’s questions “because of the implications of his response on the constitutional separation of powers,” according to a letter sent Saturday to Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) and obtained by POLITICO.

“If the president were to answer your questions, his response would suggest that Congress has the unilateral power to demand answers from the president about his official acts,” the letter reads.

Eggleston also accused the panel of asking questions it already knew the answer to — something the committee denies.

LOL!!! Ask questions about Benghazi? You all know why it happened, Mr Mursi sent those Egyptian attackers there in protest of that stupid video. It had nothing to do with the request for the release of Rahman back in June of 12’ that may have messed up the election. Could it have been done better via a kidnap trade? So it looks to me like the alleged "youtube video" claimed by Clinton and her staff was merely a coverup designed to deflect the blame away from Obama........

Of course, and we found out just last year or so that Hillary told the press it was a video and on the same day told Chelsea it was a terror attack.

Beside Hillary and 0bama, the real criminals are the media who refused to run with the terrorism story, (only FOXNEWS did).

And the timing is so important it’s worth stressing: middle of September, 2012.

Who give a rats ass what the “administration” feels is appropriate, four of our great people, including an ambassador died in that mess, consequently there are some big time questions that need to be answered by odumbo and his ilk. The cover up has lasted far too long and answers are REQUIRED.

This is simply grotesque in its dishonesty. First, in an age of instant communications, how could it take so long after the attack began at 3:42 EST to tell the POTUS that a US diplomatic consulate was under attack? Doesn't pass the smell test.

Second, since obviously "all available assets" were never deployed, either this order was NOT given or else someone in the chain of command screwed up egregiously. Which is it?

Third, how could the President, Secy of Defense, Secy of State, and other key officials care so little about the safety of US personnel on the ground in Libya that they would not all have been following events closely, LIVE, in the situation room, until the situation had totally stabilized and resolved? Obozo and Hillary concern themselves with so many trivialities and they do not concern themselves with our people under attack???

So many more questions and issues, of course, but those are a few that still must be addressed.

"All available assets", as in the CIA operatives stationed near the embassy were waiting for orders to respond and were denied, by whom exactly, we're not sure but can take a good guess.

This has 0bama's signature incompetence all over it.

It is truly incredible (or NOT) that with the WH continuing to repeat this claim that Obama ordered “all available assets” to be deployed that there is such a staggering lack of curiosity at every level by the MSM, the Congress, the relevant departments etc.

We are told that the President of the USA ordered “all available assets” to be deployed (probably a lie, ofc) and reporters and politicians are not falling all over each other to determine why the president’s order was either ignored or countermanded????

The lack of curiosity and investigative initiative by all of the press and political class stinks to high heaven.
