How do EU people in the UK feel about Brexit?
BBC ^ | June 26, 2016 | Claire Bates

One of the most visible signs of Britain's membership of the EU in recent years has been the Polski Sklep.

Polish grocery stores have popped up on the High Streets of most big towns, responding to the growing population of Eastern Europeans in the UK.

"I feel really bitter and emotional about it," says Iwona Erikson, cradling her baby daughter in one arm.

"I couldn't believe my eyes. I thought - 50% of the people here are racist. They have decided: 'We don't want foreigners here.' I had never felt discriminated against until now.

Sylwia Sawska, serving customers behind a counter piled high with long pork sausages and cheeses, is also worried.

"People are so nice here, nicer than in Poland, so I'm very surprised they voted to leave," she says.

Sawska, 20, has been working in the shop for five months. She moved from Poland with her parents and younger brother six months ago.

"We felt welcome here and the pay is good. I can earn £7 an hour, while in Poland I would earn £1.50 an hour.

No - they've decided - We are British first, not Europeans first. This is about the British right to be British. It's not against foreigners.

People who are in the UK legally at the moment will be perfectly at liberty to remain. In many cases, they will be encouraged to become citizens. This isn't about getting rid of anybody who wants to be part of Britain and accepts what that means.

So when lily-white Brits decide they want to re-establish their own national economic identity, a lily-white Pole concludes this is racism?? And is now uncomfortable??

That's the brainwashing of the Left, folks.

Notice the BBC had to find some 20-year-old know-nothing to represent their emotions. If they could have found some dark-skinned Muslim to make their point, they would have but they probably didn't feel safe going into that neighborhood where there is plenty of racism and discrimination against whites to seek out a quote.

A successful, high functioning nation is akin to a solid family. Ponder this:

We have all known extended families where some have it together, and some members are a complete mess. Nations like Great Britain were tempered by war, disease, and struggle for hundreds of years. They emerged as a successful people through perseverance and faith in God.

Unsuccessful nations are like dysfunctional family members. They have made a mess of their own lives and their own households. Their own sins have come down upon their own heads. Drugs, booze, sloth, arrogance, infidelity......you name it. One day, they checks run dry. They gaze over at the home of their well off relative. Good family, beautiful home, well behaved and grounded children, money in the bank. The dysfunctionals WANT what the other relatives have, and move in with them. They are like fleas; uninvited and parasites. These are the "refugees." These are the Muslim invaders. These are the Mexican squatters.

I don’t seem to recall what the support for going in was like for the Brits ... I’m guessing it was never great. So the “stay” crowd wanting another chance to do so, and quickly, come across in a not-good fashion: as if only their desires matter (you can be the “Europeans” were never eager to give in to their detractors when their margin of support was small).

The article is typical of leftist spin. It’s not about working Polish people. It’s more about guys named Muhammad that do nothing but collect welfare and cause problems. Why didn’t they interview some muzzie?

Possibly because Muslim immigration to the UK has little if anything to do with EU membership, whereas Polish immigration does.

A lot of current refugees looking for a new home. There was a lot of pressure from the EU to take as many as wanted to come.

How did the Poles feel about foreigners when the Germans and then the Russians occupied their country during the last century? Were they as accommodating then as the British are now?

Pressure which the UK successfully resisted. There’s a lot of misunderstanding about this here, especially in connection with the Syrian refugee crisis. It’s assumed that the UK participated in Merkel’s plan for quotas distributing refugees throughout the EU. Not so. Cameron refused to play ball, and there was nothing Merkel or the EU could do to enforce it .That’s because the UK has never been part of the Schengen open-borders area, and still controls its own borders (hence the log-jam of would-be immigrants art Calais etc). When the UK has accepted refugees it has been through its own choice, not because of EU pressure.

Sound familiar? This is exactly what is happening with the immigrant invaders right here in America.

One of the most visible signs of Britain's membership of the EU in recent years has been the Polski Sklep.

Poles are about the least of Britain's problems. Brexit doesn't need to mean "no Poles" but it means "Britain gets to play favorites and it might choose Poles before head hackers."
