I was among a group of hundreds of Christian leaders asked to attend a private event in New York City Tuesday billed as a Conversation with Donald Trump. Im glad I did.
Its no secret that I enthusiastically endorsed Sen. Ted Cruz during the primary campaign and have been an outspoken critic of Mr. Trumps. While I maintain many of my original reservations, after Tuesdays meeting, and as I told CBN News in an interview immediately following the event, I can now count myself among other Christian leaders in attendance who have moved from the Never Trump camp, to the Maybe Trump category.
For better or worse, this election has come down to two people: Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Anyone who thinks that some third-party candidate or parliamentary shenanigans at the GOP Convention in Cleveland will change this reality are fooling themselves. Either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton will be the next president of the United States.
I believe that if Hillary Clinton is elected, America is done, the U.S. Constitution is toast, and she will finish what Obama began the fundamental transformation of America into a godless, neo-Marxist Third World banana republic. Weve had decades of the Clintons to establish beyond any reasonable doubt that this woman is not only the most corrupt elitist to ever seek the presidency, shes an evil ideologue hell-bent on the abolition of individual liberties and religious freedom. While Great Britain just voted to reclaim its national sovereignty, a vote for Hillary Clinton is a vote to completely relinquish our own.
Which leaves us Donald Trump.

It’s Trump or die.
I am so impressed with this. I too was for Cruz early. Cruz is one of the most intelligent and articulate constitutionalist that has ever lived. We have one damned sniper shot at saving this country from total failure and that is Trump. That is what makes me so damned mad at Paul Ryno and his ilk. We can and we must make America great again. Do you understand this man self funded $78 million? ??? For Gawd sake people, WHY? For money? For GLORY? He doesn’t need this crap!!Put this resistance down and join BEAVEHART!!FREEDOM!!
when will Cruz turn to “maybe Trump”? My guess is November 9th.
FOUR SUPREME COURT NOMINEE appointments!
‘nuff said!
I have come to the decision that the hold outs are actually negotiating for $$$$$. They have their hands outs, not hold outs.
How any evangelical could let Hillary get in is beyond me. Even if they think Trump is bad, she is infinitely worse. They are cutting off their noses to spite their faces.
He says:

But he’s only a “maybe Trump”?

Cruz has put himself into the “#nevercruz” category for me. And I voted for him in the primary. I would never vote for him again.
Apparently many conservatives did not vote in past two presidential elections because they did not like the candidates.
I’m afraid and believe that this is the last election that we have the luxury of sitting it out. Everything tells me that Trump is our hope for recovery.
Cool off and work on the reverence towards God (not Gawd).
I never take his name in vane. You just did!!
He’s got STANDARDS to uphold, mind him.
It is like God arranging to have a flooding house visited with a rowboat, a motorboat, and a helicopter — all dirty, so they were refused by the occupant, who drowns asking God why something suitable for his dignity wasn’t presented.
I have had my reservations about Trump as well, but there were only two men running this season that I trusted to actually do what they said, and of the two he is the one who remains.
Between Trump and Clinton it is an easy choice. The Clintons are criminals. The Clintons have been bought by every third world country and every major power and every country in between on the face of this earth.
Trump made his billions building buildings. The Clintons made their billion or so selling their office and selling us out.
This is not a difficult choice to make. Anyone pretending it is either is playing for drama or playing for the other team.
I do not know what taking God’s name in “vane” would be, unless that is just flailing rhetorical arms. But you appeared to do that, and to take it in vain, whereas I take it in reverence.
So true....don’t matter what anyone thinks of Trump. He’s all that stands between us and falling through a trap-door to hell.
You can not amp up God’s name by mouthing it “Gawd.” That is a vain rhetorical move.
Only the good Lord does, actually.
If we sit on our spiritual rear ends in our pews when, as is likely, Trump cometh, then the “Trump of God” will have been in vain!
What legalism. You are saved only by belief. Do you know that Baptist preachers say “GAWD” all the time!! Argue with them but read John 3:16 first. Amen
There is no “maybe”. Trump or Hillary, that is the choice, and these people know it, they just have to blather.
