George Will exits the GOP
Hot air ^ | June 25,2016 | JAZZ SHAW

Conservative columnist George Will told PJM he has officially left the Republican Party and urged conservatives not to support presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump even if it leads to a Democratic victory in the 2016 presidential election. Will, who writes for the Washington Post, acknowledged it is a “little too late” for the Republican Party to find a replacement for Trump but had a message for Republican voters.

“Make sure he loses. Grit their teeth for four years and win the White House,” Will said during an interview after his speech at a Federalist Society luncheon.

Will said he changed his voter registration this month from Republican to “unaffiliated” in the state of Maryland.

“This is not my party,” Will said during his speech at the event.

And what of the impact of helping elect Hillary Clinton as we “grit our teeth for four years,” as he puts it? What about the Supreme Court? He manages an answer for that question as well.

PJM asked Will about concerns among Republicans that a Hillary Clinton victory guarantees another liberal justice on the Supreme Court. In response, Will said a Republican president is not “the answer” to a conservative-leaning Supreme Court.

“Sure, but I’m also concerned with the fact that I do not really believe Republicans think clearly enough about what they really want in judges. Republicans have given us Earl Warren, Brennan, John Paul Stevens, Burger, who was kind of mediocre, Blackmun. Having a Republican president is not an answer in itself,” he said.

With all due respect to someone I have admired for a very long time, that’s got to be one of the stupidest things I’ve ever heard tumble out of George Will’s mouth.

The importation of cheap labor and the exportation of the American manufacturing base must continue without interference. George Will is just another sellout taking Chamber money to turn Americans into serfs working for their corporate masters for “realistic and competitive wages”.

I met him once briefly in 1991. It was at an MLB All Star Game Fanfest. He wasn’t warm or friendly. He didn’t impress me. Apart from a few columns I have read posted here on FR and channel surfing I haven’t paid attention to him. There are a few pundits I like but Will after that meeting was never one of them. He has been on the FR feceslist for a long time.

Will served as the ABC token conservative while Sam Donaldson ranted and raved through the program.

Trump is our man.

I voted for Rubio in the Florida Primary.

I’m an advocate for an immigration/tax cap deal (and probably the only one right now, but I’ll persist).

I agree Hillary will be a nightmare, so I’ll vote for Trump without batting an eyelash.

Our options under Clinton II include:
1. a general (essentials only) buying strike
2. a massive tax cut promise to undermine the Democratic base
3. ceding California and New Mexico back to Mexico
(not going to be popular in those states, but it is an option)
4. personal emigration (why the globalists really hate BRexit)

Yeah, George “Vote for Hillary!” Will and his female counterpart, Kathleen Parker.
My local newspaper thinks it is being fair and balanced publishing these two “moderate conservative” squishes, while Leo Pitts gets a daily op-ed column, calling anyone who disagrees with him: “Racist!”
And they wonder why their subscriptions are dwindling. They called me asking why I cancelled and I told them.

If George Will becomes a Quisling, can Krauthammer be far behind?

“Republicans have given us Earl Warren, Brennan, John Paul Stevens, Burger, who was kind of mediocre, Blackmun.”

We need a Constitutional judicial amendment:

1. the jurisdiction of federal courts shall be limited to cases where the federal government or a US accredited diplomat is either the plaintiff or a defendant.
2. The District of Columbia shall be part of Maryland
[so DC residents will have a court system]
3. a state judge may be removed immediately by a 60% or more vote of a legislative branch of the state
4. any judicial action based on any activity in the state may be voided by a 60% or more vote of a legislative branch of the state
5. a. No judge or judicial body or judicial action may in any way usurp the spending power of an elected government
b. no judge serving any state shall cause the expenditure of money from a state or political subdivision except as exactly specified by detailed petition of the state legislature which includes a maximum total of money to be spent and any such judicial action shall be limited to the current fiscal year
6. all consent decrees or like involving a government or public entity created under law shall be forever void and none may be entered into
7. fines and court costs assessed in total at any time shall not exceed the average income of a punished person for two months over the past five years (based on tax returns filed) or 300 times the state’s hourly minimum wage, whichever is more
8. the appointment of counsel paid by government funds now required by Amendment VI shall be limited to capital cases and cases with charges with the total potential of imprisonment for more than a year

“This is not my party.” Except for the fact that he probably means that the Dem parti IS his party, that sentiment is probably one thing Will and many Americans have in common. Since he’s already on TV endlessly, maybe this tantrum will get him a few dates with Meghan McCain.

By his support of a Democrat Socialist for president, Will has dishonored himself by turning his back on the Constitution. He is a disgrace to all things patriotic to our American Republic.

3. ceding California and New Mexico back to Mexico (not going to be popular in those states, but it is an option)

This one always kills me.

There are NO indigenous Mexicans.

Mexicans are the offspring of indigenous Indians and primarily Spanish conquerors. They are not simply a peaceful population that was ravaged by America.

The desert SW was lost by theses "Mexicans" as a result of the Adams-Onis Treaty which allowed Spain to divest itself of a bunch of land it was responsible for in the western hemisphere.

Mexico was an after thought.

If the U.S. had wanted Mexico, Spain probably would have thrown it in just to get the deal done.

Mexico wants California and the SW but it's just a want. There is no legal justification for Mexico's claim.

Didn’t he admit to voting for Obama? Not a loss, in any case.

I seem to recall such a story, but a quick search did not turn it up.

That said...

Dear Mister George Will:

Please take it as an insult that we welcome and endorse your snooty departure from the GOP.

You, as we, will be much happier and more comfortable.

“If George Will becomes a Quisling, can Krauthammer be far behind?”

Krauthammer wrote speeches for Mondale in 1984 in the attempt to defeat Ronald Reagan. He’s always been a fraud.
