Trump: Scotland and Brexit, an advertorial for his golf course, and then goes full statesman
American Thinker ^ | 6/24/2016 | Thomas Lifson

Old habits die hard for Donald Trump, apparently. Addressing the world’s media in a press conference at his golf course in Turnberry, Scotland, he used the first ten minutes or so to promote his property. To say the least, we have never seen a potential president mix his business interests with the political stage.

As I write, he is responding to questions from the media and saying sensible things about Brexit, emphasizing that the British people are taking back control of their destiny. It is pretty impressive.

I can only conclude that Donald Trump is a statesman in progress. And now the entire world knows about his golf course and hotel. So who's the dummy: Trump or the CNN commenters sneering at him?

The body bag company for Benghazi gave Hillary millions in donations for the deluge in business.

No need to pay for commercials and air time when every reporter and news station in the world is playing your message.

Having a hotel in the background that he just finished restoring as great again quietly speaks a message that if Trump can make this hotel great again, he can make America great again. Its what he does for a living.

He actually dedicated the renovation of this property she loved to her. He also included his oldest grandchild as part of the ribbon cutting ceremony. What a picture of the importance of family and heritage that little eight year old girl will have pictures and memories to share with siblings and cousins for years

Hillary provides failure and BS.

And when he is president the first thing out of his mouth will be encouraging, uplifting words about AMERICA!

Lost in the shuffle is the reality...... first and perhaps foremost, Donald Trump is a salesman.

In Scotland he was doing double duty selling the golf course and selling himself as president

He did a good job on both counts.

It was a brilliant move by Trump. It keeps the spotlight on him and what he has to say. Millions will be curious as to what he said. This spreads his message much further and keeps the media urgently waiting for what comes next.

It is a strategy that plays the media as a virtuoso.

In contrast, Clinton plays the media as a Soviet Era, ham fisted, bureaucrat.

That is why Trump is winning. His message is that we can make money again, prosper, and are all capable people.

Contrast that to Hillary’s message that people are losers without her and they are incapable of doing anything on their own. Totally depressing.

There is no luck; there are odds and pre-planning. The rest is fate. Trump understands this crucial point, and has used it to great advantage many times.

I sense that the people who voted to LEAVE on Brexit will be just as glued to their TV screen the day of the presidential elections in the US. They will be pulling for Trump as hard as we pulled for them for BRexit.

Yep, inspirational vs. depressing - wonder who's supporters are inspired to get to the polls.

More and more people’s eyes are being opened every day to the dramatic night and day difference between the uplifting message of Trump and that tired negative divisive crap that Hillary has been spewing since the 60s.

Glad you said that. Only people in sales would understand that. Trump understands that every day you need to prospect for new business. He knows he has a solid core group of supporters but he realizes that new business is the key to success otherwise your market share dies. Trump is out there every single day selling, selling, selling.

Hillary simply does not understand that and that is why she is falling.

The job of a CEO or chairman of the board is to sell the organization every day so that the business rolls in and Trump is getting the business each and every day.

Hillary is clueless in this realm. This is a tribute to Trump’s superior executive skills which Hillary is totally deficient in. She knows nothing about how to run anything. She is a walking failure factory.

__________

Hillary is basically saying to the American people that they are nothing without her. They are lowlifes with no abilities or brains. That is a great message to get Trump elected.

The press said he didn’t need to be there. His reply: Yes I do. To support my kids, Eric and Ivanka.

It was their project.
