NASA’s top climate scientist took to Twitter Friday morning to criticize British voters for choosing to leave the European Union, calling the so-called Brexit vote “stupid and selfish.”

Gavin Schmidt is the director of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies, but long before becoming the space agency’s lead climate scientist, Schmidt was born in Britain. He’s obviously not a fan of U.K. voters’ decision to leave the EU.

"I thought that after that a*****e Hansen finally left NASA, honest adults would finally take over. Evidently I was wrong.

The solution, which I hope is on Trump's short list of useless bureaucracies to be permanently terminated, is the "Climate" division of space studies. A top to bottom review of ALL the assumed tasks and budgets not exclusively related to extra terrestrial science should permanently disappear, and NASA's budget reduced accordingly.

Are the vast majority of the productive net-taxpaying citizens of the US pissed?
