An independent Scotland attached to the EU would end up just like Greece. What does Scotland produce? They are just net recipients under the EU of the fruits of the labor of the productive.

For the life of me, I can't figure out why Germany doesn't want out. They are by far the strongest economic engine in Europe and therefore are the primary contributors to the various failing socialist member states.
