Donald Rumsfeld, a key architect of the Iraq war, announced Wednesday that he’s supporting Donald Trump, one of its biggest critics.

The former defense secretary in the George W. Bush administration said he’s never met Trump, but he’s certainly preferable to Hillary clinton.

“I don’t even find it a hard decision,” he said.

Rumsfeld pooh-poohed the candidate’s accusations that the Bush administration lied to get the country into war.

“I’m 83 years old, I’ve been through a lot of elections, and I’ve never found anyone that I’ve agreed with 100 percent of the time,” Rumsfeld said....

I agree. Cruz SHOULD endorse Trump. Period. Doesn’t matter if he hates Trump’s guts. Endorse him. Stop Hillary.

If enough people get out and vote for Trump, they can overwhelm the fake Hillary votes and Trump can still win.

That is how Bush beat Gore. The Dems didn’t expect all those Cuban Americans voting, who all voted for Bush, after the Clinton administration sent poor Elian back to Cuba.

Very classy place. I’ve been there three times, I think, on Bose junkets.
They, Trump and Bose, really do it up right.
cheers

I don’t like a guy who under the Ford administration had a key role in forcing America into an unholy marriage with Saudi-Arabia.

Trump should keep safe distance from Rumsfeld and Co.

No Kidding. You don’t need to love the guy to vote for him. He is taking Hilary to task on everything that those on the right have known for decades.

There’s never been a “known known” like Hillary.

I agree - he needs to bring on Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, Hugh Hewitt - a broad swath of folks who are known by the public and by conservatives.

Cruz absolutely should endorse Trump. To avoid doing that makes him appear very petty. So should George Bush. I am disgusted with him, and I supported him throughout his presidency (my first Republican vote!!). Should should (pouty) Paul Ryan. They are all a disgusting bunch, imho.
