Emails: Key security features disabled on Clinton's server

State Department staffers wrestled for weeks in December 2010 over a serious technical problem with then-Secretary Hillary Clinton's home email server, causing them to temporarily disable security features that left the server more vulnerable to hackers, according to emails released Wednesday.

Just weeks later, according to previously disclosed emails, hackers attacked the server, forcing Clinton's staff to shut it down. The next day, one of Clinton's closest aides, Huma Abedin, wrote to other high ranking staff: "Don't email hrc (Clinton) anything sensitive. I can explain more in person."

The emails were released under court order Wednesday to the conservative legal advocacy group Judicial Watch, which has sued the State Department over access to public records related to the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee's service as the nation's top diplomat between 2009 and 2013.

Huma knew that no sensitive stuff was EVER to be emailed—not just during a silver of time.

Anybody have the actual technical details? I see a mention of ScanMail for Exchange which tells me they setup an Exchange server, which is pretty funny since Postfix is astronomically easier to configure and more secure out of the box. I wonder what they disabled. Doesn’t appear they had any firewalls. They just shut down the box while they were being attacked? That’s beyond hysterical!

The FBI can’t indict anyone. Indictments come from grand juries, which are impaneled by US attorneys who work for the DOJ.

Huma said”Don’t email hrc (Clinton) anything sensitive. I can explain more in person.”

I wish that said “I can explain more in prison.”

Every member of Hillary’s staff should be charged with treason.

Foolproof hacking protection is just shut the server down for a few minutes. That’s going to put McAfee out if business.

Pure genius!

If, as Hitlery has claimed, they never emailed classified info, why would Huma need to warn everyone not to?

I know just enough about computers to plug in the cables, but it occurred to me that mebbe the problem they were having was left by hackers, i.e., the hack had already taken place.

“Report out from Justice that there is insufficient evidence to charge her.
Don’t allow the investigation to close and just do nothing.”

I vote for Door #3 or #4. But either of these “options” will , of necessity, “smoke out” Comey. On #3 he will have to speak up or we will know he’s in the tank, and actually for #4 it’s almost the same since he wil have to “agree” that he’s “not done” when we will know that that’s a lie!

No possibility the Ruskies or the Chinese could hack an unprotected server I guess.

This is as bad or even worse than the FDR/Truman State Department. At least then the spies had to work for information instead of just having it handed to them.

She is so incompetent. The media that are part of her campaign can try to brush off the seriousness of her dangerous incompetence, but they aren’t intimidating Trump. Trump may not be the most ideal candidate for conservatives, but he’s been the only one who is actually saying what has long needed to be said about that corrupt and dangerous candidate and party.

More evidence of lying and criminal conduct by Clinton.

Not only that, it proves a conspiracy to commit felonies by her staffers as well:

forcing Clinton's staff to shut it down. The next day, one of Clinton's closest aides, Huma Abedin, wrote to other high ranking staff: "Don't email hrc (Clinton) anything sensitive. I can explain more in person."

It seems that State Department security was disabled. I may be reading this wrong. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3442721/posts
